Cheap but not so cheerful!

Posted Oct 11, 2014
Pros: Sorry..... but nothing!
Cons: It was, frankly, terrible... from the location to the decor. Hard to say how it could be improved.
Location: Plenty of "fast food" type places but not much else.
We are from the UK so we wanted to try a cheap motel to see how they measured up! It was a bit of a frightening experience to be honest... Maybe it was just us being nervous tourists but I did not feel comfortable at the place. No one said or did anything but I was just a bit uneasy and I made sure everything was locked up and secure. I do not want to be unfair to the place but I really did not like anything about it. We booked a Hamptons Inn the next night for about another 30 dollars and it was like a palace in comparison and breakfast was included - lesson is pay a little bit more and get much better value for money!!!

Clerk Not Helpful

Posted Sep 6, 2014
Pros: Cleanliness of the room
Cons: Repair the steps and instruct the desk clerk to be more helpful.
Location: The location was pretty good. The best thing was Malcolm's ice cream and sandwich shop. The wait staff was so friendly and the ice cream was great
When I booked the hotel, I asked for a downstairs room. When we arrived, they assigned us to a second story room. When I asked if they could move us downstairs (we are senior citizens), the clerk just said that she wasn't allowed to change the room. She didn't apologize or try to be helpful at all. The hotel was less than half full. So there were a lot of downstairs rooms available. The outside steps were in very bad condition with chunks broken out of the corners. The vending area didn't seem very clean or kept up. That being said, the room was clean, and we got a good night's sleep.

Good placr to stay for a quick stop while traveling. Easy to get to from Interstate 40. Right in the middle of restaurants.

It's a pet friendly hotel.

For a pet friendly hotel, it was ok. However, the room was very small and the bed was really uncomfortable.

Just off the i 49

Posted Jul 22, 2014
Pros: A good nights sleep at a reasonable rate.
Location: Close to I 40 into Amarillo from the west.
We exited the I 40 and found Motel 6 very easily for our first visit to Amarillo. The staff were friendly, the room was clean although a little tired. Food outlets were close by.

Awful

This place is gross. Everything is covered in cigarette burns and it smells. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.
