I was so excited when we found this property -it looked perfect for our 3 families - 5 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, pool, spacious bedrooms, dining areas, living room & kitchen. Based on the reviews, it seemed the property manager was responsive. I should have questioned why SO MANY of the reviews said they had to contact the property manager. Here’s what we had challenges with:
1. Warm water: We were instructed to run sinks & showers for 5-7 mins before we should expect warm water b/c it’s an on-demand heater and ALL WATER needs to be cleared from the system before it heats up. With CA in a drought, this is awful.
2. Dishwasher: We ran a load of dishes & the detergent pod had come out of the compartment but was barely disintegrated. The hard water in the house has ruined the dishwasher. We ended up having to buy plates and cups to eat.
3. Clothes washer & dryer were unsafe and unclean: The lint trap filter and compartment were COMPLETELY FULL - scary as that's a fire hazard & the dryer had nasty brown sticky gunk in distilled water compartment.
4. Maintenance: Shower heads wouldn’t divert water, one toilet wouldn’t stop running, jet tub didn’t work, kitchen & bathroom sinks had no plugs to do dishes, and signs indicated if plumber needed to be called, there would be $250 charge.
5. Bugs: We found bugs & spiders, alive & dead, in windowsills, bathrooms & closets.
I had multiple texts with managers. It was embarrassing and disruptive to resolve the issues during vacation.
