“Nice”

A little like staying at your mom's house however. Bedrooms are small and intimate. Have to be very quiet at night in order not to disturb other guests. Don't plan on much romance with your mate unless you like for all to hear. Good breakfast to start the day. Close to downtown Anchorage shops and restaurants. Easy, off street parking, if you have rented a car.
“Very Unique Experience”
This was a room in a normal suburban home. It was very accommodating, just a little awkward to share some of the living spaces (esp. kitchen) with the family residing there, and other travelers. It was almost like a hostel. The location was 10 walking blocks from downtown Anchorage, thus the low price. But it was only 15 mins to town, which was lovely. Overall, a good deal for the money. And only a $15.50 cab ride to/from the airport.
“A nice facility, but . . .”
This facility is clean, and the food is very good. We were impressed with the late check-in process when we arrived for our first 2 day stay. There was an envelope with our name on it and even flashlights in an envelope for guests' use. However, when we returned a week later for a last night's stay in Anchorage, the key left for us was for a room that was obviously already occupied. I called both numbers listed on the information sheet with no answer. I left a message, and then after about half an hour I called again. I was finally able to reach the innkeeper. The whole time were were wondering whether we did, in fact, have a room for the night. This was not a good end to our stay in Anchorage. We were in the guest house next door, so it wasn't really the B&B experience I was expecting. Breakfast time was the only interaction between inkeeper and guests.

B & B was o k but no bathroom in room, had to share. No TV, etc.
