We stayed in a room with 3 queen beds and a huge bathroom. It all looked recently renovated and very clean. Housekeeping was great and came in after the first night and tidied up and made beds, I find a lot of hotels no longer do this. Breakfast was above average and the lady hosting was so nice. We would definitely stay again!

The room was generally clean and comfortable, though it could use more light in the room. Our big problem was that they would not give us a first floor room. We had called weeks in advance and requested a first floor room, as my wife and I are both handicapped and there is no elevator. We were told it would not be a problem as long as we arrived early. We arrived before 5 and were told that no 1st floor rooms were available. And no elevator! So, they gave us a room on the side of the building where no handicapped parking was available, forcing 2 handicapped people in their 70's to haul 300 lbs of gear up a stairway. It took us nearly an hour to drag everything us the stairs, as rollers don't work with stairs. Same issue with leaving 3 days later. Other than that, the breakfast was good. TV worked well once we changed the batteries in the controller. Hair dryer did not work but they got us another promptly. Good shower, comfy beds. AC did not work well on arrival, so I cleaned the coils myself and then it worked fine. Doors badly need some weatherstripping, as rain blew in around our door. Staff was very friendly. Other than that, I guess we could have done worse.

The Best Western Appalachicola is conveniently located just a mile or so from downtown Appalachicola. There are many restaurants and shops in downtown Appalachicola. The hotel is clean, but could use some upgrading as in carpeting and general maintenance. The staff are very nice and welcoming.

Property very clean, wonderful pillows, air conditioner working ery well. Room spacious and clean. Love that the property is pet friendly. One or two streets over in walking distance is a street covered with a canopy of Live Oak trees. Beautiful. Would definitely stay again

Old but reliable
We've stayed at this facility a few times while in Apalachicola to judge BBQ contests. Old, but dependable. Housekeeping was great and the free breakfast more than adequate.

For an older property it was very nice. Has been updated and is clean and modern amenities. Housekeeping staff and breakfast attendant were all so nice. Only complaint was the hotel had no local information or maps for restaurants, shopping, hospitals or sights to see. Would stay again.

The property was extremely clean, nice pool, ALL staff/employees we encountered had superb work ethics. The lady over morning breakfast(s) was a sweet gem of a lady! And even the young lady who was able to get into the juicer machine - she personally delivered Apple Juice to our room for my husband who was not feeling well. Everything was perfect for us and we are already talking of when we can return!! Great job BW team - great job!!

Check in was a breeze with a very polite woman behind the desk. The room was clean, housekeeping staff were actually early for the room turnover the next morning. Breakfast was actually a very nice spread. I did not have very high expectations for the place being a best Western and was pleasently surprised.

We booked this hotel for a wedding in st George island. We had 2 families in 2 different rooms. We went to use the pool to give the kids something to do but unfortunately it had cigarette butt's and other garbage little junk at the bottom of the pool. We came back to the room around 1130 to find the entire railing in front of both of our rooms covered in dirty, wet clothes and towels. We also were lucky the place wasn't fully booked because they allow people to park in 2 spots with 1 car. I wouldn't recommend this place unless it's just to lay your head for the night. The room was clean but not worth it in my opinion. Luckily I'll never be in that part of Florida again so no sweat.

I felt my sandals. We didn't have time to go back after our fishing trip. That hotel has great service and fairly clean for an older hotel. We have stayed there twice in the last month.
