Perfect spot
The cottage is in a beautiful location with cycle paths just outside. Loads of local walks which we all loved ( despite the rain!) The cottage itself was lovely. There is a fabulous big kitchen diner with the kitchen stocked with everything you could possibly need ( including kitchen scales) There is lots of kitchen storage including fridge and freezer space. The living room is snug and comfortable with a nice touch of some blankets. There is a wood burner but the underfloor heating meant we did not need to use this. The bedrooms are on the small size but are well set out with good storage solutions. Angela was very helpful with any questions that we had. We absolutely loved our stay and wouldn't hesitate to book again.

Great house, very helpful host.
Lovely house. Clean, comfortable and spacious, with a very generous welcome pack. Fantastic area for cycling, a really beautiful part of Scotland. Angela was very helpful.

Wonderful and relaxing
Stunning cottage, even better in real life than the photo's & text describe, Host took every care to think of anything in kitchen that could be useful and included generous supplies of wood for burner, and general bits and bobs, cottage is first class, must have been a labour of love to restore and build this gorgeous property, it is now somewhere to really savour, no hesitation to book again, Thank you Angela

Perfect Scottish base
A perfect place to stay. Angela was an excellent host. The welcome basket was one of the best we’ve seen. The home is faultless and like a home from home with everything you need. Tastefully decorated and presented to a very high standard. Lots of room & outdoor space. The location is almost equidistant between Fort William & Oban. Would be a good base to explore the Highlands. Also right next to a cycle path - we used for walks to Castle Stalker. We’d definitely stay here again if visiting the region.

Fantastic house and friendly host
Angela was an amazing host. Great communication through booking and pre-arrival and very welcoming when we arrived. Fast response to the few questions we had about the property. She couldn't have been more helpful. Lovely welcome pack and really well equipped clean property - it really was like a home from home. I had brought lots of stuff with us having stayed in previous properties but Angela had thought of everything. The property was bigger than we had anticipated and the photos didn't do it justice. Great outdoor seating areas at front and back to relax and even a picnic table further out in the garden to catch the last rays of sun. She had even provided citronella candles and blankets!. Beds were super comfy and bedding clean and good quality. Awesome shower! Hairdryers, board games, jigsaws, coffee all provided. The property location was great too. It literally was right on the traffic free cycle route and lots of cycle maps and info were provided. We enjoyed cycling the 2.5 miles for a drink in the Pierhouse at Port Appin and the Creagan Inn and the 1 mile cycle to the Old Inn for a fab steak dinner - ask for a conservatory table when you book to ensure lovely views across to Castle Stalker. Only a 20-30 minute drive into Oban where you can take a ferry to Mull, Lismore etc for a day trip too. We had a fantastic stay and wouldn't hesitate to return or recommend to friends! Thank you Angela.

Mooi en comfortabel huis
Het huis is prachtig gerenoveerd, zeer comfortabel en van alle gemakken voorzien. We waren graag wat langer gebleven. In de prachtige omgeving is veel te doen en te zien.

Great home base on Scotland's west coast
We spent a wonderful week in the spacious house in Appin and found it a perfect home base for travels on the west coast, e.g. to Fort William / Ben Nevis, Glencoe (definitely worth a few visits) or also down to Inveraray and Loch Lomond. Super friendly host, a very comfortable house equipped with everything we needed.
