Fantastic
Perfect location for family and 3 dogs. We didn’t want to leave! Access to the beach and woods just beyond the house which was fantastic for walking. House had everything we needed and we even managed to sit out in the garden in the sunshine despite it being October.

Fabulous Hideaway
The Foreman's cottage at Lunan Bay was exactly what we were looking for. It's location was perfect so close to the beautiful bay, which was one of the main reasons for our stay. You can be as active or relaxed as you want. With plenty to see and do in the surrounding area or just kick back and relax in the beautifully furnished cottage with a glass of your preferred tipple in front of a roaring fire. Would highly recommend this beautiful little getaway and the wonderfully welcoming and friendly locals seal the deal.

Peaceful break in a lovely cottage in a stunning location with the added bonus of a large secure garden for our lively dogs. Excellent resources in the cottage with a very friendly farm shop yards away while still maintaining privacy. Extremely approachable and friendly owner and house manager. All in all perfect!

Beautiful cottage in lively lication
Stunning property, lovely sized rooms and enclosed garden. Beach is 5 minutes away down some sand dunes, and is very clean. Only negative is the agar, itwas awful to cook with if you are not used to one.

Second time at cottage and we still love it. Location is perfect with access to beach, farm shop for breakfast and restaurant 5 minute walk away. The garden is huge for the dog. She wanted to be in it 24/7!! We'll definitely be back again.

Cosy place to work for a week, with a change of scenery
Memorable week at Foreman's Cottage. My partner and I needed to work somewhere else, get a change of scenery (we work at desks on laptops all day) - it worked beautifully. A breezy early morning walk down the long sandy beach with our dog and back to the aga-warmed cottage for porridge and a lovely shower set each day up nicely. We were super comfortable and happy - the cottage had everything we needed and the owners were responsive and lovely. Can't believe a week's work could be so productive and restorative! Will definitely do again!

Perfect.
Absolutely loved the cottage. Was at Lunan Bay a few years ago with our pup and wanted to go back. Finding the cottage on the beach was ideal. Beautiful inside and outside. Great farm shop for breakfast and Imries for drinks and food. Trying to book as soon as we can to go back.

Just what we needed cosy warm cottage by the Sea. Fenced in property our dog loved, surveyed all of his space people and dog watching. Made trips to Montrose, Stonehaven and Abroath.

Great weekend
We were a family group of 5 adults and a dog. Location of cottage was great for days on the beach. Even in February. Bedrooms, bathrooms and living areas all very comfortable. Cottage was well equipped. First time cooking on an Aga. No problem with making cooked breakfast or croissants. Managed to cook steaks and lasagna and pizzas. Did take my own lasagne dish as wasn’t sure there would be one. There wasn’t. But everything else was available. Would recommend this cottage.

Very enjoyable stay, but comms a little slow
The cottage was really quaint set in very quiet location with a lovely garden, ideal for the dogs and all fenced around the perimeter. Cottage was very close to the beach, just a short walk over a Sand dune. Cottage was well equipped, the aga took a little getting used to but we got there and enjoyed cooking with it! We slept in the main bedroom on the ground floor which had a nice view to the rear garden through patio doors. The only downside was that the bedroom and bathroom were open plan in one room which, unless you are quite comfortable doing all of your ‘toilet business’ in sight and sound of your partner during the night, wasn’t ideal! Also meant you couldn’t really turn the light on if you got up at night to go to the toilet without disturbing your partner. The rolltop bath was very nice, although my husband did smash his head against a low hanging ceiling ornament and cut his head In the process. Reported this to the owner but no big dramas. Communication was very slow after booking the cottage and had Sent several messages up until the night before the stay with no replies, to contact owners the evening before to ask for the check-in details etc. Becky did say I may have been an issue with receiving messages at her end through the Vrbo app, but I think a couple of the mobile numbers on the listing are incorrect as well? We finally had contact and confirmed details as we travelled up on the day of arrival. Overall we really enjoyed our stay with our two Jack Russells, who enjoyed the beach. We also travelled up to the Cairngorms and Inverness which was nice.

Relaxing Break
We had a lovely break at Foreman’s Cottage. The cottage is well presented and was great for us as 2 couples. Being close to the sea was outstanding and breathtaking. Our dog loved the big garden and the beach. Imries Bar and Grill was great to visit to for a meal. Felt a little let down with delay in the check in information not arriving till 2.30pm on the day of arrival. The cottage Wi-Fi is not great - Netflix or the Alexa provided did not work as unable to connect. The cottage could also do with some extra TLC and cleaning.

Fabulous location
Cottage is very well presented, cosy and welcoming. Has everything you would need for a short stay. Very comfy beds, with wonderful deep freestanding bath in the master. The cottage has plenty outside space with seating areas all round the property, so you can soak up the sun at any point in the day! The garden area is vast, laid to lawn which is great for the dogs. The wonderful vast Lunan Bay beach is literally a couple of minutes walk away so great to pop in for a dip! There is a great Bar and Grill a couple of minutes walk away too which offers good pub grub. There is also a wee beach cafe close-by which offers coffees and cold refreshments. There was a bottle of wine and biscuits waiting for us upon arrival which was a lovely touch. We loved our stay, and I want to live there! 😊

Fabulous Foreman’s Cottage
Foreman’s Cottage is absolutely perfect. It is decorated to the highest standard, and equipped with everything one could possibly need. Communication was first rate and Jean who maintains the cottage is a wonderful caring and helpful lady. The cottage is immaculate with nice extra touches. The location at Lunan Bay is spectacular, with just a few steps across the dunes to the beach. Highly recommend!

Beautiful location. Questionable cleanliness and certainly not covid clean
The location is beautiful. Lunan is one of the finest beaches in Scotland. However the property had definitely not been cleaned to a covid safe standard. Not even to an ok standard. I had to clean the kitchen as everything was covered in grease. The tea, coffee and sugar tins are likely never been cleaned, the window sill in the kitchen is thick dust and grime, the bowl in the sink had a thick layer of grease on it, the cupboards are dirty, there were old vegetables left in a cupboard in the kitchen, socks in a cupboard in a bedroom etc etc I have taken photographs of all of this to show it’s unacceptable and not just me being picky. I think the housekeeper (who actually advised us that she was going to be short on time to clean for the next guests) needs a bit of training.

Property was in an excellent location with som great views of the passing ships and submarines. Cottage was lovely although with 4 adults and 2 teens it could have been doing with another sofa in the lounge as better seating. The surround sound system and WiFi internet speed were excellent which is a massive plus. 😀

Beautiful cottage in a gorgeous location
We had a lovely week away in this gorgeous cottage. The location was fabulous as it was so close to Lunan beach and there are some great walks around the bay. The cottage was perfect for my family and the enclosed outside area was ideal for the children to run around and play. The cottage itself was well equipped, clean and the decor was beautiful. Perfect holiday
We have just arrived back from a perfect week's stay at Lunan Bay. The cottage was amazing !! So warm, cosy and very welcoming. The cottage had everything we could have asked for, it was beyond our expectations. Perfect location. Excellent, friendly and helpful communication from Rebecca. I would definitely recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a peaceful, comfortable, relaxing, beach stay. I know my children and I would love to stay at the cottage again.

Heaven on Earth at Lunan Beach
Foreman’s Cottage is beautifully situated by the horse farms, sand dunes and beaches where the Lunan Waters meet the North Sea. Walks through woodlands, paths to the majestic Red Castle, or along the beach are capped of with a cuppa from the beach cafe. Nature and history in a magnificently appointed and romantic cottage. Lovely historic villages nearby but shop first! You won’t want to leave!!

Second trip to the cottage and just as enjoyable.
Due to lockdown restrictions our March booking had to be rearranged but Rebecca was most helpful with this. The cottage was just as nice as we remembered it from our first visit 8 months ago and our two dogs seemed to remember the fab outside space they had. Everything you need is supplied so all you need to do is kick back and relax. Apart from the cottage the next best thing is the beach - it’s wonderful and right on your doorstep .... it’s stunning. Only downside was the unseasonable May weather but that didn’t stop us enjoying it. Look forward to our next visit.

This was out of this world. The location right next to beach was perfect for me and my boys. Every morning we would walk out the door and down onto the beach despite the weather each day. So perfect.
