Great experience start to finish
It's a long and winding road leading to George's cabin in the woods, but so worth it! Even though you're only a few miles from shopping and access to major highways, you'd never know it as you sit on the deck sipping coffee or a glass of wine, and watching the sun setting behind the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Not only is the accommodation peaceful and relaxing, it's also well-maintained and well-equipped. The smallish kitchen is part of the living room/den, but has everything you'd need, including 3 kinds of coffee makers (we were pleased to have access to a stovetop espresso maker!), toaster, microwave, plenty of pots and pans, dishes and cutlery. Bed was super comfy king-sized with much better pillows than you usually find, cozy bedroom, small but efficient bathroom with surprisingly plenty of space to keep toiletries. We spent quite a bit of time on the deck, just enjoying the view and the sun.
If all that wasn't enough, the fee is very reasonable, and George is one of the friendliest, nicest guys you'll ever meet. Highest recommendation for anyone staying in or around Asheville.
