Picked it because the interior looked nice & the week we needed was available. The only communication I received was from vrbo and auto-emails from Evolve, the messaging system this booking uses. I sent several questions that were unanswered. Had to call & request info.
The details: This unit is on the first floor. The check-in and swimming pool is one floor down in Lobby. Balcony faces the front of the building. This unit is in the middle just slightly over from the main lobby entrance. So, from the master bedroom, there is always light from the parking lot and people from the shuttle that runs 24hrs. They can see you, you can see them. The furniture is nice, but most items too big for the space. The condo was built 1983-1984 and no matter how much you pretty it up, there's no escaping that era. The kitchen is a room, cut off from the condo except the opening. Nice touches- appreciate the night lights in the master bedroom and bathroom. Be aware the shower in the bathtub is extremely small/narrow. The shower head is at a little over 5ft. You get one bath towel, one smaller towel. I reached for the towel and immediately realized it smelled like sweat. Touching it gingerly, I noticed it had stains on it as well. I looked at the other towel and noticed it was very wrinkled. It had triangular crinkles in it like it was sitting in an laundry hamper! So it seems as if the cleaning person got confused and hung up dirty towels! So we bought towels and washed them and the ones in the room. When a listing states linens are provided, I don't think to bring towels. Dining table light has a dimmer switch but does not dim, it is very bright. Lots of mirrors in this unit. Appreciate the fabric bed because it looks pretty, but not the best choice for a rental for dust and allergies. Same with the rug in the living room. The parking- the place was pretty full, but not anywhere near capacity. I had called Sugartop and the person had told me that Lot A was close to the building & walkable with a few bags. Well, when you arrive you get a placard for your vehicle. If you are renting, you will get a yellow placard and that only allows you to park at lots D-G. Too far/unsafe to walk- the road is uphill, curved w/no shoulder. The shuttle drivers were good. Place is iconic, glad we stayed just to satisfy my curiosity. Interior hallways remind me of The Shining. There is ONE washer&dryer per floor. Fitness ctr is worn, NOT "state of the art"!!
