We loved staying here! The staff was very helpful and friendly. The food was delicious. The room was lovely and very clean. An easy walk into town. The only thing missing was a full length mirror.

Beautiful B&B, good location, excellently managed

Posted Jul 19, 2014
Pros: Great value for the location, friendly staff, breakfasts were good, place was very clean and well appointed.
Cons: The only thing worth noting was the mattress was much different from ours at home and so seemed quite hard! Minor really.
Location: Walking distance to town, close to Acadia National Park routes
Just returned from a 4 night stay. Location is excellent (short walk into town), breakfasts were exceptional (creative alternatives to the usual fayre) , place was spotless, Owner (Melissa) had thought of everything and was a great host.

Why would anyone want to stay in a hotel..

Posted Jun 25, 2014
Pros: Everything. Gardens were lovely also. We couldn't wait for breakfast every morning.
Cons: Nothing.
Location: Walking distance to lots of restaurants and a park. Stay a couple of days to get in the Arcadia Nl Park and a boat tour.
We were in Room 1 upstairs; it was just lovely with our own little porch, more like a suite than a room. The bathroom was large, spacious and beautifully appointed. All the details were authentic to the character of the home. Breakfast was perfect with a choice of several hot entrees. Walking distance to downtown was great as parking downtown is next to impossible even on a Monday. We found nothing lacking at the Inn. The owner and staff work very hard behind the scenes to make this place run so smoothly. Can't imagine ever staying in a hotel when there are absolutely beautiful places like this bed and breakfast just waiting to pamper us!

Great place to stay!

Posted Jun 19, 2014
Pros: Location was very convenient. Nicely decorated, clean & well maintained home with not too many rooms. Felt very comfortable and at home there.
Cons: Maybe some better bathroom toiletries
Location: Great location - could walk to town. Driving to the park was only about 10 minutes.
Highly recommend this place. Had a wonderful stay and felt much at home. House is beautiful. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was always very good. Having Tea time with excellent desserts was always part of the day we looked forward to. It was nice to sit on the porch or under some trees enjoying it. It was great to have our own designated parking spot. They have a lot of books, pamphlets and a CD for the area that are helpful. A book they had on Hiking the Acadia National Park helped us see some fantastic spots we would not have found on our own.

Just perfect!

Posted Jun 15, 2014
Pros: Everything!
Cons: Nothing!
Location: Acadia National Park is a must see. For dinner be sure to check out "Cafe This Way" for an exceptional eclectic dining experience.
We stayed at several B&B's on a trip along the Maine coastline. This was our favorite of them all. Everything was perfect. Our reception, introduction and knowledge of the area was exceptional. Snacks and beverages were available 24/7. Our room (#6) was modern, flawless and the breakfast was wonderful. The location is conveniently located within walking distance of food, shopping, & sightseeing. We will definitely return next year for an extended stay. Maureen is a true treasure! Thank you to the entire staff at the Primrose Inn.

Lovely B&B in Bar Harbor

Posted Jun 8, 2014
Pros: The Primrose Inn is convenient to downtown/waterfront Bar Harbor, so that you can walk to dinner and shopping without having to worry about parking.
Cons: Maybe the rooms could be bigger, but as I said, we didn't do much there besides shower and sleep.
Location: Bar Harbor is a tourist town located adjacent to Acadia National Park. If you can't find things to do, you aren't trying.
We stayed at The Primrose Inn for two nights in early June. Our hosts were lovely and very helpful regarding things to see and do in the area. Breakfast was served promptly and was tasty. The early-bird coffee (available at 6:30) was a very nice touch -- I'm up with the sun, so I could grab a coffee and sneak back to my room to wake up with my laptop at a leisurely pace. Our room was very nicely appointed but not huge (we were there mostly to sleep so this was not a problem) and the wi-fi was trouble free and speedy.

Reasonable Choice in the Middle of Things

Posted Oct 28, 2013
Location: Bar Harbor is a fun town with lots of interesting restaurants and places to shop. The Park is fantastic!
Wonderful breakfast, great staff, terrific location, comfortable room, reasonable price, but has the drawback some b&b's have: can hear the folks in adjacent rooms. Last night there we were awoken at 3:45 am to snoring, from two different rooms. At least we got an early start on our drive back home!
