It was amazing ... a grand historical building, beautiful tiles, beautiful artwork, beautiful atmosphere. The host and staff were so friendly and helpful, we felt privileged to be there.

Very good host yet not suitable for families.
The hosts were amazing, super nice and always there for help. However the cleanness wasn't the best, didn't change towels at all, and all that idea of living together with a shared bathroom (which isn't shown at first as u order) is not so comfortable for family. In the room there are only beds, no place to put your clothes nor stuff at all. It is a good idea for young people that travels by themselves. The Area is super, it is on a pretty much quite yet central street, and by walking several minutes you are at the heart of Barcelona.

The two ladies at front desk are not helpful, friendly or informed. I'm not sure what there purpose was. It is an apt bldg, I stayed on 2nd floor, the host for that floor is sweet, helpful, but not always available for computer or printing boarding passes, thank goodness there is taxi service right outside hotel. The worst is finding out hotel. After hotel confirmation and payment, I learned that it is a shared bathroom! I find international hotels are not accurate pictures and details on the site. Room was clean and quaint, many sites, shopping, eating spots within walking distance. Hop on Hop off tour eith Bustouristic was best. Beautiful city, Barcelona.

We stayed 4 nights in this central location within walking distance of La Rambla, Place de Catalunya, Casas Milà and Batllo. We were close to several metro stops on different lines & reached Parc Guell & Montjuïc in no time. Breakfast was simple but filling ( bread, cereal, croissants, fruits, jams, cheese, fruit juice, yoghurt, decent coffee etc. The staff were friendly & approachable. Although we had no problems during our stay, another guest was poorly the night before flying out. I contacted the owner who responded quickly by sending one of the staff which reassured the guest & her family. A doctor wasn't required in the end. I felt completely safe in & around the hotel & this lovely B&B definitely contributed to a lovely break. The bed was far too comfortable but this is not really a negative point!

We stayed in the suite in the owner’s apartment. It was beautiful. Had its own bathroom. A standard European breakfast was served every morning. It was good. Location is excellent. Very close to Palau de la Musica. Ferran was a very friendly and helpful host. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

As a small property bkfst was served family style. A chance to meet the other guests and enjoy their story. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Our lovely room included private bath. Very satisfied.

I got a room next to the bathroom. Major part of night it was being used by guests. Shared bathroom. Which I did not realise when I booked. So did not sleep whole night. The owner then took me to his residence for the remaining two nights. I would not stay there again. The breakfast also started around 8. Although you could have cereals. I would have preferred hot breakfast from 7.

Felt just like home
The hotel was comfortable, and the staff were very helpful. It is beautifully decorated. We had a room that had windows we could open onto the street below. The air conditioning worked well, and the room was well cleaned each day. We shared bathroom facilities, but this was no problem. The bathroom was kept clean at all times. The breakfast was simple, fresh and tasty with coffee, juice and mineral water. The cold water dispenser has really cold water available all the time and produces hot water for making tea. Shops are close by, and food and drinks can be kept in the shared kitchen fridge. I would highly recommend this bnb. It had a nice feeling about it - just like home.

Living in a real apartment in the city center
Great place to stay right in the center (we got to see all the independence activism first hand and no problems). Wonderful and interesting host. Nice suite; excellent breakfast and coffee etc available all day.

Didn't feel like a B and B. I was traveling solo and chose a B and B to have some company, some interaction. I stayed three nights. I only saw anyone at check in and last morning breakfast. Otherwise, I was on my own. I did have phone numbers to call for staff. The owner I never saw although staff told me to call if I wanted additional advice.

Is not a hotel it is a guest house
There is not recepcion if you arrive pass 9 you have to pay extra fees you have to prepare your own breakfast but waiting your turn because is a very little kitchen with 2 chairs for all the guests. These is no private bathroom we had to pay !!50 €more!!daily to have one but putting a paper as a sign on the door because is outside the room and you can't lock the door. AND WE PAY 200€ / per night unfair

It was a little confusing on arrival, as we didn't know to go to the 2nd floor, the reception downstairs is not for the B&B. The staff in the B&B are very welcoming and friendly, the rooms are very clean. The breakfast was adequate but not exciting, but it did the job. Even though the hotel is on a busy street, the traffic noise was minimal and not disruptive. The only downside was the white box above the door in our room made some noise every so often in the night, that woke me occasionally.

Great location and staff!
B&B with outstanding service from the staff. The breakfast was very basic Continental style but sufficient, common bathroom was a little bit of a PITA but not too bad. The air conditioner in our room cycled on with a brief noise frequently throughout the night- quite distracting after a night of drinking. Overall however it was a cool experience and we would return and recommend Ferran and his staff to anyone!

The hotel was not the asking price. It was too expensive for a bed and breakfast. The staff were great but that is often the case. I didn't see anything during my 1 week stay to justify the high room rate relative to other hotels in the same area.

Not quite what we were expecting-you stay in a room in a flat-shared kitchen area & bathroom. Was reasonably quiet while we were there, so shared amenities weren't an issue. Great location nearby metro stop takes you to anywhere in town. Catalunya plaza nearby where all the tour buses, and handy airport buses stop.

A gem in the centre of Barcelona
This was a great find, easily accessible from the airport via bus or a new metro-line. Great location with an excellent Argentinian restaurant on one side and a great bakery, coffee shop, restaurant and bar on the other. Close by brilliant tapas bars. The accommodation was exceptionally clean and stylishly decorated. Staff were very friendly and helpful and breakfast was like 'home from home'. I would definitely stay here again and will recommend it to friends. Easy access via metro to Nou Camp too.

Beautiful B&B! Great location!
Stayed here for a quick visit to Barcelona with my family. The accommodations were lovely and after long days of touring we had restful nights of sleep. We woke up to a nice breakfast made by Louise, the housemaid. Both she and the owner were so helpful with tips on how to make the most of our time and recommending great restaurants.

Handy B&B in good location
Nice little B&B in a good location. A little hard to find from the street if you haven't seen pictures on the internet. Nice breakfast and very helpful staff make this a really good place to stay. Only downside I had was being woken in the morning at 2am by a garbage truck, sound from the street can get into the room a bit, even though you are a few levels up. Apart from that would stay here again.

Very convenient location and friendly staff
The location was central and very convenient, close to metro, etc. The staff was polite and professional. The room was well maintained as is the shared kitchen area. My only caution would be that sound reverberates significantly in the B & B. The floors are laminate wood and so every step echoes. The deadbolt locks on the doors are super noisy as well so just take earplugs. All staff that I interacted with were professional, had excellent suggestions, coordinated taxi service on departure day and had excellent English speaking skills. I would stay again but only if rooms with private bath are available.

City Break to meet family who were working.
This was a lovely 'B & B' on the upper floor of an old city building a short walk from the Ramblas. Most of the other guests were families from the USA or Canada who were very interesting to talk to. The rooms were quiet with good air conditioning. Sharing the two bathrooms was no problem. The central kitchen needed a couple of extra chairs, fold up ones would have been fine. The girl who looked after the b & b should have been available every morning checking to make sure the guests got their breakfast and coffee! One morning I actually had just a bowl of cereal, there was still no food at 9.am. I would stay there again but would expect the breakfast to have improved a great deal.

Lovely B&B in a great location right by Plaza Catalunya. Shared bathroom situation was a bit annoying in the morning and breakfast could have been better (just toast & cereal). With it being in the best location, it's very noisy especially if facing the main road! But the staff are friendly and the rooms comfy and clean. One word of advice there's no sign outside saying Barcino 147 so get the address or you'll be taken to the wrong hotel by the taxi...like me! A mixed review but if you're going to Barcelona for the city and not the hotel I'd highly recommend.

Wonderful hospitality, nothing lacking, friendly, helpful, and charming hosts. Just the way the place is structured, wooden floors and doors resonated and so sounds were quite noticeable but not extreme. Not sure what to suggest with this. Barcino 147 - a wonderful place in Barcelona
The location of the hotel is very convenient, about a seven minute walk to/from Plaza Catalunya. The owners are extremely hospitable and very helpful with recommendations on restaurants and sight-seeing venues. The hotel was very quiet, given its setting, and quite comfortable. I heartily recommend Barcino 147!

Barcino 147 - great value for money
You couldn't ask for a better location. Barcino 147 is centrally located, within walking distance of Barcelona's main sights and attractions. Plaza Catlunya, La Ramblas and Casa Batlo are minutes away. The B&B's staff, especially owner Ferran, is extremely friendly and helpful. Ferran speaks excellent English. The premises are very clean and the rooms big and airy. The only minus would be the occasional traffic noise. It is quiet enough at night, but light sleepers may be disturbed by the morning rush hour, which seems to rev up at about 6am.
