I’ll start with the good: Tastefully decorated. Convenient location. The garage gym was really great! The hot tub was hot and lovely.
Now for the deltas:
- Big black cockroach type bugs were pervasive on the back patio
- Despite booking it based on the very clearly labeled “with washer and dryer,” the dryer was broken. It really sucked with wet hot tub suits and if - in the off chance your toddler and husband gets a stomach bug you can’t clean the clothes unless you want to bag them up sopping wet. Access to a washer and dryer is the main reason we stay in a rental house vs a hotel with kitchenette.
- Bring your own dishwasher soap and cleaning supplies / there’s nothing in the house. There were 2 dishwashing pods but kids are messy so we ended up having to wash most of the dishes by hand - literally with our hands as there’s no scrub pad or sponge etc. To the manager - the dishes on the counter are clean but we had no other way to wash them.
- In case your kid gets say - a stomach bug and you’ll be forced to clean with whatever you bring. Luckily we had baby wipes. And again, there’s not even a working dryer to wash things.
- None of the bedrooms doors shut properly. It sounds like a herd of hippos trying to open or close the doors - which, with kids is frustrating
- The downstairs room and downstairs bathroom should be disclosed as a separate residence. It had an outside entrance that requires walking down stairs outside to get to it. You can’t sleep kids down there as they’d have to walk up 18 deck stairs to get back inside in the dark and / or rain.
- Most of the dining room chairs were broken. Like the backs of them are missing screws or something so they were sketchy to sit in and lean your back onto them.
- The coffee maker has a pot that doesn’t fit so you can’t make drip coffee. It’s like 2” too short to reach the drip bulb thing.
- At arrival when I got the auto text asking about the cleanliness I mentioned the bugs. They replied asking to take a picture of the bugs. I can confirm after chasing and killing a roach taking a pic of it is the last thing you think of. Regardless, I ended up getting a pic, i can send if needed.
- There were 2 rolls of toilet paper total. Maybe if my husband hadn’t got sick it may have been enough but they weren’t even new rolls / full of toilet paper. They were half used so we ran of our toilet paper. There were no back up rolls anywhere so we had to go buy a roll of toilet paper.
