This visit was a time of reset that I needed after loosing my mom. I could not have found a better place of peace to do just that. The calm that surrounded me was nothing short of a little piece of heaven where mom has finally reached in full splendor 😇 The room was exceptional, along with the beauty of the wood working of the lodge, the patio area and wrap around porch along the wood line is beautiful. Rather your looking for a time to just be still or a couples retreat or a family getaway I highly recommend you consider Makanda Inn, you will not be disappointed ❤️

Started sneezing immediately after arriving. Air/heat unit had bug droppings on it and husband checked filter and was NASTY! Missing light bulb in lamp, fridge didn't get cold, and no soap in bathroom next to breakfast area.

Great stay and the room was very nice, pretty, comfortable and convenient. It’s was a handicap room and enjoyed the space very much. 1st floor very close to the door and lobby. Very nice stay just wish we had more time to enjoy. Was there for grandsons baseball tournament!!

This is an absolute gem! Restored home that is the perfect mix of old and new. Located right off campus in a beautiful neighborhood. The owner Madawn was so lovely and gave us a peek into the rooms that weren’t occupied. This is a must stay if you are in that part of the country.
