This was one of the most uncomfortable beds I have ever stayed on at a hotel or even an airbnb. The restaurant Mi Jalisco just added stress to our trip when we tried to eat there (that place deserves its own 1 star review). The shower heads were from the 80s. The door didn’t auto lock when you closed it. All in the place was clean and nice and roomy BUT with any comfort amenities. Like basic comfort sleeping or showering.

Terrible Customer Service/ill prepared for weather
My family decided an overnight of skiing would be fun so we booked a night at the 4 Seasons at Beech Mountain. We loaded up the minivan and headed out. It snowed the day before (great for skiing, right?). The hotel sent us a lovely email about the best way to get there etc. They failed to indicate they do not plow their parking, it is up a hill and if you do not have chains or a 4 wheel drive you will not be able to park and will likely get stuck in the lot. When I went inside and told the person behind the desk that there was no parking. He pretty much said the plows are broken, nothing he could do and we would just have to deal. He did not offer an alternative for parking, a set of chains to borrow or even a place to purchase them. When I said there was no way we could stay there as we couldn't park and I wanted a refund, he told me there was nothing he could do because I booked through Hotels.com. When I called Hotels, com, they said they would reach out to the hotel. Apparently, the hotel never responded to their inquiries and I have yet to receive a refund or even a credit for another visit. What kind of hotel in a ski town doesn't plow their parking lot when it snows? or at least let incoming customers know that a 34 wheel drive or chains are required if you want to park. I couldn't be more disappointed with this entire experience.

Hi Kate,I’m sorry to hear that you were frustrated by the road conditions. Unfortunately, the snowfall on Beech Mountain and ski area, which includes the roads, is out of our control. However, the great thing about ski season here at Beech Mountain is the wonderful snowfall we get here! We recommend that everyone coming in the winter check road conditions and use a 4WD vehicle or chains. With the amount of snow, we get, a 4WD or similar type vehicle and or chains is needed.

Needs to be updated
We have stayed here twice in a month now. Mostly because it was one of the only places available on short notice in the area. It seems like an old condo building converted into a hotel. Rooms are large and comfortable. Ours had a kitchen, living area, and separate bedroom with 2 baths. It is VERY outdated and could use a serious renovation! Staff is nice and helpful. Would NOT recommend eating at the Mexican restaurant that is attached! We would probably go back here again out of necessity, but if there were other options, I might choose to go somewhere a little more updated.

A good couple of nights
The hotel is a no thrills place to stay. No elevators and definitely not so many modern updates. The plus side is the staff was super nice and helpful. The housekeeping ladies were friendly and always willing to lend a hand. If you're looking for a place to stay and don't need all of the bells and whistles, then this is your place. we would stay here again if we came back to the area.

We liked that our room was like a studio apartment. The room, however, seemed outdated in its furnishings. We had an issue with the shower not working, but maintenance was called and it was fixed.

The property is old, but this is not a negative. Nice quiet atmosphere. We staying in June, no a/c in the rooms but we didn't need them. We opened the window and enjoyed a brisk breeze and froze our butts off. The restaurant was nice, food was good. This is not The Ritz but it also is not stiff shirts and posh attitudes, just good people. O, by the way. Saturday night as we were headed to our vehicle around 9pm e saw 2 black bears looking for food, just glad it wasn't us. Overall, we had a great time, the locals are nothing but nice. sadly, I can't say this about all of the tourist. This is our second stay, we will definetly stay again.

It was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! First time in the mountains and i had no idea when i booked our room it was at the top of it! To walk outside and see the most breath-taking view I have ever seen, completely priceless!

Loved that a restaurant was attached to the property. Delicious. Had a dryer to use to dry out ski clothes. Awesome. Charged my card before we arrived. Lame. Was very noisy in the halls until after midnight. Boo

Great location. We stopped into the attached Mexican restaurant for margaritas. The staff was very friendly. Unfortunately though, it is evident that the hotel management is poor. For the price, the hotel technology is years behind. Fixtures, such as toilets are in disrepair. No outside security locks, there was a guy wandering the halls looking for a resident named Lindsey at 6AM, caught me off guard to be approached by what appeared to be a homeless guy in the hallway. I really just expect for the high price I paid to stay here to have a more up-to-date, and much more secure hotel.

The place was pretty clean but it is an older building and could use some updating. The biggest issue we had was the little guy checking us in, he was very rude and needs to be talked to about his attitude.
