Great location across from the Boston Public Library -- I know the block and had no idea there was a hotel about the width of a knifeblade in it. We had a super view down onto the street. It wasn't as noisy as I worried. The restaurant downstairs was really good for dinner. Breakfast was limited but the coffee was free and there were OK choices a few feet away on the street. We will certainly stay there again.

Hotel is in a fantastic location, you can walk to theater district, Boston Common, North End, or Fenway. Rooms are small but quaint, bathroom could have been cleaner. Staff extremely pleasant and helpful. Would definitely stay again!

This stay is a genuine 5-stars. Rooms are very reasonably priced and very clean! I enjoyed speaking with the folks at the front desk, they were very nice and helpful. Amenities were great as well.

My stay at the CharlesMark hotel was splendid. I arrived with my hire car and could temporarily park it in front of the hotel to unload my luggage and settle into my room. No rush. The hotel has a Carpark arrangement with great discount which only costed me $20 for almost 24 hours and only 8 minutes walk from the hotel. The restaurant connected to the hotel has some lovely (oriental) food and friendly staff and as I had travelled from Europe I was happy not to have to look for a restaurant somewhere else. Breakfast was exactly what I needed, some tea and a few croissants, free of charge even. There is such a relaxed atmosphere around the place with really lovely and helpful staff. Location is fabulous in the Backbay area, I love architecture and the next morning I walked towards the old Marlborough and Beacon Streets, what a feast for the eyes.

The Charlesmark is a cute little place, with a diner and cafe conveniently located downstairs. Close walking to lots of places, including the subway and the convention center.

Great location if you want to be in the Copley Square area. The hotel is descent if you need somewhere for one night. The rooms are very dated but just fine if you only need it to sleep. Now sleep…the pillows are so bad, ugh. Upgrading those pillows would be a huge satisfier. The room we were in, 301, had an amazingly loud BOOM, every time the heat shifted (about once an hour), that was interesting lol. The shower pooled about 2 inches a water within a minute and stayed there consistently during shower time (we did share this with the front desk at check out). We booked last minute and paid $203 for the night out the door. Fairly cheap for the area so I’d stay again if it was only for one night and I didn’t plan on staying in the room other than to sleep. Also, the cable box didn’t work when we first got to the room. The front desk called Comcast and got it fixed for us quick.

The restaurant had great food. The room was comfortable. But there was no view except a brick wall. Also, house keeping started at 5 am and made lots of noise.

Nice convenient unique hotel near the T and bus station. It be nicer if it’s more quiet outside my room and above me. The noise kept me awake. Otherwise room is clean and bed comfortable.

Joey was AMAZING at check-in and took very good care of my children’s room and mine. The lovely eatery offered delicious food and the bartender/barista made the most comforting lattes for my family and a very special old fashion beverage for the adults! It’s a great place and we would go again in a heartbeat!

Spectacular location made it special
The Charlesmark Hotel is a boutique-ish hotel in the very upscale Back Bay neighborhood. Transportation, safety and access to restaurants, museums, shopping, attractions, etc. are all excellent in this neighborhood and highly recommended. Considering the price and location, the Charlesmark was a wonderful place to stay on our recent visit.
