Beautiful historic setting! While the room was rather basic/dated, it was spotlessly clean and the bed was very comfortable. We also enjoyed the restaurant and use of the lounges with fireplaces. Will definitely be visiting again. It’s a great place to relax and switch off.

Lovely old property with a lot of history. Beautiful surrounds, however the stay itself was a little underwhelming. The rooms are way overpriced for the size and facilities. The property itself looks a little tired and in need of receiving the regular maintenance it deserves.

Beautiful but could use a freshen up.
The historical building is charming. As are the extensive and stunning gardens which surround the property. The restaurant service and food were excellent. The rooms in the Morton Wing were dated. They were clean though. The bathroom was tiny. Especially given the price per night. Overall my friends and I had a wonderful weekend in the hotel and out in Bowral.

We've been staying here for over 20yrs but after staying at Dormie House, 20mins further down the road & comparing the 2, this will be our last stay at Craigieburn. A couple of minor things but annoying things. The bathrooms are tiny & the remote for the TV not at all intuitive, with this robotic voice rattling off these numbers. The volume won't go above 14 & we found we could barely hear it, plus we had to go back to 'home' to change the channel, it wouldn't just go from one to the other. Also, there were several bead blow flies in the stairwell from the Friday we arrived, until the Sunday we went home. Finally, they've introduced a $100 pre-payment. They take your money on the day of check-in & then release it several days later. Ultimately there doesn't seem to be any recognition of return customer's or their loyalty, which would surely be as easy as looking up a mobile number & seeing one's history.

Our stay was ok, but unfortunately, we did not get the room we paid for. Plus, the restaurant was a bit overpriced for what we got, and the service was not great. Lovely friendly staff but if a restaurant charges as much as they do, then the staff need to be more attentive and better trained.

The rooms are quite small and ours was a fair walk from the car park and we had three flights of stairs which wasn’t easy with a three year old. Room service was great. There was a wedding on the afternoon of our stay which limited us moving around the front of the hotel. Lovely old hotel.

At $500 per night, this was a huge disappointment. We were in a tiny room, rundown, dark & uninviting. We had no toiletries, not even soap, the fan didn't work in the bathroom & the bar fridge was in the wardrobe. The iron was so old it didn't iron & the coffee...when is a blend 43 sachet appropriate for a $500 a night room?! Then we get to dinner...my husband had a lovely meal but my $56 steak was tough & fatty...it came with chips & salad...I've had better at my local pub. There was a Rod Stewart concert on at the weekend so we could not move rooms or hotels & had to endure this place for 2 nights. Our towels didn't dry for day 2 so had to ring for more as our room wasn't checked each day. The staff were so rude (particularly the girl in the bar), in fact I watched her be very condescending to 2 gents who's first language wasn't English & I was quite embarrassed. There was no room service for breakfast, just a buffet & we were not prepared to fork out more money for terrible food & service so we went to a beautiful patisserie in town. I have stayed in 3 star motels better than this & I will be emailing Peppers/Accor head office for some compensation for our stay from the appalling state this 'exclusive' hotel is run in.

It’s a lovely slightly tired old property but the surroundings were lovely and better if you like golf. The downside for us was that there was no gym or swimming pool. It’s in a lovely part of the spot and we enjoyed the shopping and restaurants nearby.

This is a beautiful old property set in loavely grounds. The rooms in the newer part of the property are small and quite dark and not what you would expect for the expensive rate that they charge. There is no soundproofig in the room so you can quite clearly hear people talking in the coridoors as they go to their rooms. The room was clean and tidy.The staff are friendly and helpful
