This place was a diamond in the rough. The service was top notch! I stayed in the Pinapple bungalow and it was quaint and cozy and I loved it. Only a few steps away from the beautiful ocean. I will definitely be visiting again soon! Highly recommend.

First of all I would like to say that this place is just as described! Right on the beach and the bungalow is so personal and intimate for a couple! Went with my Fiance for a weekend getaway and we had a blast, laid and walked on the beach all day and night! Can’t wait to come back again!

Loved it. The only thing about the room that I didn't like was that the bathroom was not fully private. (open ceiling with just a sliding door. I would definitely stay again if the room had a separate bathroom.

Filthy. Housekeeping forgot about our room and didn’t come around to replenish towels or change sheets. Dirt hanging from ceiling fan. Bathroom shower is old and stained. Smoking everywhere, including employees. Mattress had a loose springs that you could feel. Sheets are old and thin. Comforter is t even a real comforter. It’s a fleece blanket in between two sheets. Air conditioning unit is loud and it’s extremely humid in the room.

Bathroom in our unit was a very tight fit. No comfortable place to sit in room. Beach lounges are poor condition. Staff friendly and helpful. Older facility needing minor fixes.

Beautiful location on the beach. Cottages in desperate need for a full makeover. Bathroom very small, shower curtains not fitted, i.e water all over the floor.

This place was a dream, it was quiet and absolutely gorgeous. The view and access to the beach were amazing. If I went back to AMI, I would 100 percent stay in this same location.

This was our 2nd time staying at the BBR and we already have our 3rd booked. The owners/management were in constant contact via text making sure everything was to our liking, they even arranged a gorgeous sunset for our 20th anniversary.

This property is located right on the beach and close to several restaurants and shops. We stayed in the Pineapple Bungalow, which has a view of the pool. The bungalow is small, with a very small bathroom, but the room was very clean, has the most charming decor and is steps away from the beach. The staff was very friendly and informative. We used the property’s beach chairs to sit on the beach to watch the most beautiful sunset. It was perfect for our one night stay on AMI.

I loved that the property was right on the beach, beautiful central location! The internet was very slow, and the shower was super small and didn’t hold hot water very well ... but in the grand scheme of things, it was a wonderful stay!!!

Quaint beachy bungalow from the past.
The bungalow is very quaint. It’s older but was clean and comfortable. The location is why you stay here. Open the shades and look at the gulf. Walk out the slider and into the sand. If modern fancy is what you are after, pass on this one. If quiet beachy bungalow is what you want, stay here. The staff go out of their way to help in any way they can. Overall the place is a great little romantic get away that I think was worth the stay.

The Bungalows were build in the 1930's and have been updated. They have a lot of charm and are near everything the Island has to offer. Loved being right on the beach!

Run down, but charming, and private.
My husband and I spent 4 nights for our anniversary. I was really searching for a place where we could distance ourselves due to Covid. This was the place. Our Bungalow was cute, but really could use some upgrading. The ac is window units that are loud and don’t work well. The coffee table was a plastic outdoor table that was not level, so my drink wobbled on it. It was impossible for us both to get comfortable on love seat so we had to sit on our beach chair in living room. This place was really clean and the staff was friendly, and the beach amazing.

This place is one of the most beautiful places we’ve ever stayed. It has an old island feel. The view from our room was a million dollar view. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the island. If you want tons of people, shops and restaurants, this is not the place for you. There is plenty of places to eat but you need to get in your car or walk a few miles. If you want a beautiful and peaceful place to vacation this is definitely the place to go! We can’t wait to go back!

The location is excellent but the "Palm Tree" bungalow we stayed has a "built in" bathroom that is not really separated from the room and a noisy AC unit. The reality for this specific unit is a bit different from what the pictures show. Overall we enjoyed our stay and the staff was very friendly.

Bungalow Beach Resort is in a fantastic location right on the beach in a beautiful and easy-to-find part of Bradenton. Our bungalow room was clean and bright with a large bed and pull-out sofa bed (just what we anticipated). The check in process was a bit time consuming, and management directed us to park our second vehicle in a free lot at the Holmes Beach Public Access about a mile away. We did this and walked back to the bungalow. After we unpacked and settled in, we noticed a couple of small issues with the appliances, the frig, the latch on the back patio gate, the toilet, etc. We didn't complain because we were on "family time" with our kids and we didn't want to waste a minute of it. It wasn't until our toilet completely quit working that we said something (caution, SPOILER ALERT coming) We were told that it couldn't be repaired until after the entire holiday weekend with our family was over (in the interest of good customer service, however, they DID give us a bucket to fill the toilet bowl from the kitchen sink in case we had an emergency!) Unfortunately, there's more. Remember where they told us to park our second vehicle? (and remember we walked a mile to do it) We were slapped with a $50 parking ticket for that, and when we mentioned this at checkout, we were told in a huff that "management isn't here" and it was our problem, not theirs. We called twice before writing this review, but nobody ever called us back. THE END. Scotty & Jacque
