I wish we could have stayed longer
This is the 8th time we have stayed at the Cozy Cottage with our wienerdogs since 2007 when we bought our first snowmobiles. Each year the property was awesome. The property provides easy access to the groomed trails with a driveway that is just big enough to stick my trailer, my Tahoe and our sleds. The fireplace is a true gem and binge watching my wife's favorite TV series was relaxing and comfortable. The only problems are that I love super long hot showers which you can't do given the cold water coming into the cabin in the winter AND that I need to stay here longer to make sure that we get enough good weather days. That is to say that, this year, it snowed the lightest snow ever pretty much the entire time and my snowmobiles aren't as good as new ones with deep powder. Because of the light powder (I would say 2 feet over our 4 night stay), the people who groom the trails couldnt keep up. Luckily, the Cozy Cottage provided a perfect refuge from everything outside.

This was a perfect small place for my wife and i on our anniversary. It was cozy and sweet. The tv had all the streaming services we wanted for a lazy week. we couldnt get the oven to work and we found some bacon in the bathroom. Those things didnt take away from what we were looking for. The heater/fireplace worked so well.

Bear Cottage.
Stayed at this property many times. Always a great place to stay. Close to both sides on Brian Head ski resort. The house is the perfect place for my wife and I. Highly recommend a stay.

Fabulous cozy Cabin!
Loved our stay at Kimberly’s cabin for our 2night weekend getaway in Brian Head. The cabin is equipped with everything you need & Kimberly is super easy to communicate with! Loved having morning coffee on the front porch & exploring hiking trails in the area. Would definitely recommend!

Heavy dump truck traffic
Everything was great except two issues. They are building cabins above the cottage which is on the main road so there is heavy truck traffic every week day from 8:00 until 7:00. The weekend was delightful. Won’t be a problem in the winter we suspect. The couch needs new cushions. If you do plan to stay in the summer during the week, just make plans to be away for most of the day.

A Grrreat Cabin
We enjoyed our stay in a comfortable cabin reminiscent of simpler days. All the modern necessities were provided but in a 50’s way that was quaint. We loved the two porches and would stay there again.

Just be aware it is very small and on a very busy street. I think lots of construction is going on up the hill, lots of loud dump trucks going by. :( But it worked fine for our 2 nights

A very cozy getaway
Spent a short weekend enjoying a quiet stay here. The kitchen had everything we needed for home-cooked meals and a great view of the stars from the front porch. Loved our stay here! PS. Whatever the body wash is, it smells fantastic!

The property was exactly as claimed in the listing. It is very small but good for a family with little kids or a couple. The house was well stocked with what we needed and Kimberly responded very quickly to my questions. The snow knocked out the furnace pilot light one night and she responded quickly.

Best time ever
We went to Brian Head from Vegas for my daughters birthday and me and my husbands anniversary. We went during the winter and had thee best time ever. There was plenty of snow, sleds available at the cottage, which my children used while we were there. We were only there for a short weekend, 2 nights and the kids wanted to stay. The place was clean, comfy/cozy - perfect and just enough space for the 4 of us. My son is 9 and my daughter turned 7. They were never bored between the TV, sledding, and the close proximity to everything. Ice skating was literally a minute or 2 away, snow tubing and the market is less than 5 minutes. Communication was super easy and accessible. Thank you for offering your adorable cottage! My kids are asking to stay for an entire spring break - so maybe next year we will do! We will def be back. Thank you again!

Little bear cottage

Wow those snowplow worked overtime!
I wish we could've stayed longer than 4 nights. We stayed here many times years ago under previous owners and it was just as cute and just as comfy. The fireplace is the main heater it's controlled by the thermostat which has always seemed very cool to me. We either couldn't figure out the TV remotes and watched Amazon through the DVD player (the DirecTV dish may have had a problem due to the huge amount of snow on the roof...not sure). It was just me, my spouse and our 2 dachshund puppies so we had plenty of room and we could have easily fit 3 kids upstairs. Upstairs, both windows were almost completely blocked by snow (which is why I assume the DirecTV dish may have been out). Very comfortable layout upstairs that I used as my closet. Only issue I had was not at all caused by the owners and that was just that we arrived during intense snow during the early evening and we were in a Tahoe with a snowmobile trailer. The other 6x we stayed at cozy cabin the driveway on the left side of the cabin was clear and we parked/stored the trailer and whatever truck we had there and then kept our snowmobiles on the right side driveway. This year, the left driveway had 5 feet of snow with a huge 12-15 foot pile of snow pushed up from snowplows clearing the road and trying to clear the area in front of the cabin from the admittedly crazy snow that has been falling. Unfortunately because we got here about 6:30 p.m. during a snowstorm, the driveway on the right side of the cabin was also fairly deep snow wise and it hadn't been cleared quite wide enough to where I could really get my snowmobile trailer on the side of the cabin (I took the snowmobiles off down the hill by the town hall). There was enough room to pull our snowmobiles up in the front area but we ended up having to leave our Tahoe down at the Town Hall because we had kind of compacted all of the snow in front of the cabin into what essentially was an 8-in thick ice brick which couldn't really be cleared by the snow plows because my trailer was sticking out kind of far and we have had to know when the snow plows were going to clear the driveway to coordinate moving even the snowmobiles. This was only really a problem because Steam Engine Drive (used to be called Bear Flats Road) is fairly close to the front of the cabin and some of those snow plows really kind of fly past. So, again, none of this is the fault of the owners it's just that we got there during some really intense snow.

Marc - I am glad you enjoyed your stay! Yes, Brian Head is experiencing historic snow fall this year and it is difficult to find room to put it all! Thanks to you communicating to me when you checked out, I contacted our snow removal person and he plowed the west side shortly after you checked out. I also contacted Direct tv and they fixed the issue. Thank you again for letting me know! We hope to see you again!

Kimberly was a gracious host and gave prompt, accurate replies to questions. Cabin was very clean, quiet inside, and tho small, had everything we needed. Unlike many other places we've stayed in rural areas, the internet worked perfectly, the TV's were current models, & had national news and multiple channels. One reviewer was disappointed by size of fridge and oven/stove. They were more than adequate for us--we had no problem storing our food or cooking two complex dinners that involved both stovetop cooking & baking. The water tasted great. We really enjoyed sitting in afternoon sun in the comfy chairs on the front porch. Our son loved the upstairs loft/sitting room--used it as a private retreat where he could spread out and relax. The only slight reservation I have is that the stairs to the second level could be challenging for someone like my elderly dad who has balance/mobility issues. All in all, a great stay. I am sorry you were not happy with your stay. You mentioned to me you had an issue with the bugs outside at night. Unfortunately I am not able to control nature. Perhaps a stay during winter would be better for you.

Unresponsive & unable to access property.
Property manager is slow to respond and unresponsive on the day of stay. We drove almost 4hrs, with infant and dog, but were unable to access property. Property manager finally responded the following day after we had already returned home. They were not concerned that they were unreachable.

When the guest had a family emergency at the last minute, I was flexible and let her change her dates at the last minute AT NO CHARGE. I didn’t have to do that. She then kept changing the date she was arriving within her reservation, which is fine, for I let her know everything was ready for her arrival whenever she got there. She states she tried to contact me when she was driving, to the location yet I received no phone call or message through VRBO. I take pride in my responsive and care for my guests as demonstrated by the amount of positive reviews. She did send me several messages with updated information about her personal situation. Those messages did not require a response. I am sorry it did not work out for her.
