Great location, easy to walk into town. Rooms and exterior are simple, may need a little TLC, but can’t fault the staff who very helpful.

Really handy spot in Byron but needs a refurb.
The motel is in an ideal spot, on the way into Byron from the north, a few minutes walk from town and it backs on to the beach. If only it had been refurbished! It is very dated with chipped paintwork and dingy decor. The darkness in the room wasn’t helped by the bunk beds up against the window. We didn’t need them and hadn’t asked for them! However, the handiness of the motel and the extreme helpful and friendly staff did ease the disappointment of the room.

We had forgotten our power converter at our last stop. Ellen (I think) offered us a 220v phone charger for free. Apparently it is the most common forgotten item in their rooms. She had a box full of them. Well above and beyond, thank you.

BBQ and pool area ok but lights in undercover area weren’t working. Sliding doors for the room were not easily operable. Location to town and beach fantastic but property requires updating/maintenance.

Not sure where to start or stop with this review. The shower did not work. Only a trickle of warm water was evident from the shower head. Abolute rubbish. Fixtures, windows and doors were dysfunctional or broken. The ceiling was dirty. Tiles in the shower mouldy, toilet bowl was stained. No drinking glasses. This place would have been.okay at $50 per night, but at $360 per night is a joke. I felt embarrassed as an Australian that holiday makers visiting beautiful Byron Bay would think that this place represented quality or value for money. This place is rubbish, make no mistake. Either raise this 1960s relic to the ground and start again or drop the prices to reflect the "worse than a caravan park" standard. Good luck if you expect a shower before going out or after a swim.

Old, tired and overpriced
Hotel is very old and tired Rooms need repainting, new carpet, furniture is old and chipped. Very disappointing considering the cost. Staff were very nice though.

Easy walk to town. Straight out the back gate to the beach. Spacious room with toaster and microwave. Impressed that they had security screens in the windows so you could safely have windows open at night rather than running the airconditioning.

Overnight Work Trip to Byron Bay
Friendly, attentive staff throughout my stay. Room was clean, spacious and had all the amenities that I required. Short stroll to both beach and town centre. Will certainly stay here again.

Great spot near the centre of Byron. But no shower curtain so the entire bathroom was wet. Didn't affect us but due to lack of staff no hosekeeping unless to stay a week?

Room was clean and very basic. Paint chips and close to threadbare carpets on the joins in a few places, the room could do with an update soon. Felt it was not value for money, but being as it was in Byron Bay, I think the price is expensive anywhere
