We had a room that was about 30 yards from some new construction which ran from 7 AM until 8 PM almost every day. This was awful, I don't go on vacation to wake up with hammering at 7 AM! At the very least we should have been given a discount for our stay for putting us in rooms this close to that nonsense.
I will say that the place is beautiful, the pools are nice, the grounds are clean and the staff were mostly very nice. Some more care could be done in washing the dishes (most days we got dirty coffee cups and glasses).
We like all inclusive because of the simplicity, but the drinks were definitely not very strong, the food options were fine, but not super exciting. I think the Asian place was probably the best if you like sushi. The worst though was the steakhouse. You could only get into it if you had reservations which you could only make by lining up at 5:30 to get on the waiting list. The front desk did not tell us that when we checked in and the hostess who clearly had to turn away tons of people was not very nice about telling us that. I don't fault her totally because we saw her turn away many people who obviously didn't get this information either, but she should probably work on her customer service skills.
Overall we had a good time and we tolerated the negatives, but I think some changes should be made so at the very least a relaxing vacation isn't interrupted by construction.
