We liked the proximity to Cairns CBD.Posted Oct 14, 2014
We did a lot of sightseeing walking around Cairns. We enjoyed the pool and spent a lot of time relaxing there.

Close to all facilities on the esplanadePosted Oct 7, 2014
Pros: Pool facilities for family and close to centre of town.
Cons: Bed comfort
Location: Close to Cairns Central shopping centre and PJ O'Brien's (good $14 meal + drink deals). Great walk on the esplanade and plenty of bars to enjoy
Good value for money, plenty of things to do and options with dining. Breakfast being included was a bonus, as eateries on the water could get quite dear for breakfast.

Everything at Novotel was great, apart from the faulty air conditioning

Nicely locatedPosted Aug 24, 2014
Nice central location, excellent pool, the morning buffet was great and the price for everything was excellent. Not a five star but all the same an excellent value. We are a family of three and the room was very spacious and worked well for us. It helped that we had a nice balconey. Would go there again on a return visit.

Cons: Room needed to be aired out or something. Was quite smelly when closed up for a while.
Just a place to sleep on a work trip. Very comfortable beds.

Just OKPosted Jul 21, 2014 on Hotels.com
Tom checked us in at the reservation desk, and he was one of the worse I have encountered in a long time. There was no direct eye contact and no details about the amenities of the hotel or our room. Twice during our 5 minutes encounter with him, he checked his phone for text messages. The breakfast buffet was an added amenity in the morning and was delicious. The upkeep on the rooms and pool were not great. My headboard was dirty and the walls need to be painted. The pool had lots of debris floating about and was not heated for our visit in early July. The woman at the tour desk was amazing and went above and beyond to help us plan our excursions.

Good location close to everythingPosted Jul 7, 2014
Pros: Good location
Cons: Sound proofing in rooms
Location: A five minute walk to the middle of Cairns, location location location.
Overall a good hotel. Good location noisy air co, too many add ons in costs, eg a fifty dollar a day fee should you use the bar is outrageous, these people should learn some customer services standards and only charge people once they use a product.

Stayed with two children in the room which was clean and tidey and walking distance to town and restaurants. Kids ate free at breakfast at the hotel, pool was lovely and hotel was great
