Don't stay here

Posted May 18, 2015
This was the second time I've stayed at this hotel. This time around it was horrible. Key card/ mechanism to open room doors did not work half the time, phone in my room did not work and did not get get fixed when I let staff know (twice), PARKING! Beware of coming back too late in the evening. There is a western bar across the street and patrons of the bar use the hotel parking lot to park. I was checking out and a lady was complaining to the gm about basically the same things. He seemed very uncaring, unprofessional, and just not interested in any concerns the guests have. AVOID staying here if you can. The so called "DEAL" is not worth it. pay the extra $30-$40 and stay somewhere clean, caring, attentive, professional and not so outdated for this century.

Won't stay here again.

Pros: The one plus about our stay was the continental breakfast which was quite good.
Cons: Give the room a good cleaning, It is one thing to have an older hotel, it is another thing to have a room that has not been cleaned properly.
Location: The hotel is in a good location.
The room was filthy; the shower curtain rod was barely hanging on. We asked for it to be repaired and if they would please clean the room (stains; sticky end tables, floor dirty etc. When we returned the curtain rod had been repaired but the room was as it was. So disappointing.

Place was close to my event :-)

Posted May 6, 2015
Pros: Location for where I needed to be was great.
Cons: Maybe offer a deal if room doesn't need to be cleaned, 5 dollars off a night or something :-) Save the staff some work ;-)
Location: I was there for a pool tournament, so the Acadia rec centre was near by, this was awesome. Then just nearby the Kings head pub is always fun times :-)
Over all good, the staff was nice and helpful. And always never have any issues. Price is decent, works well for me :-)

You get what you pay for

Pros: Price
Cons: Get the hot tub fixed
Location: Convenient for south Calgary visiting and shopping
No surprises, it was cheap and it was all we needed. At least the bed was comfortable, which is actually a major plus.

Very poor quality for a Travelodge

I do not recommend this hotel at all. Dirty, no maid service, keys don't work and uncaring staff.

It was good apart from some noise in the morning like there was construction going on.

Horrible Sleepless Stay

Posted Apr 20, 2015
The staff was great, the room quality okay except the bathroom was terrible. There was black mould everywhere in the tub near the faucets. The water did not drain so we had bath showers, the shower head was really crappy for there was not a lot of pressure and the circle was to wide. The worst part was how thin the walls were. The room connected to ours through the doors had very loud people staying in there. We could hear their conversation word for word and even doing unmentionable acts. In result of this we had a terrible sleep. Might I also mention an elevator was broken.

Outdated, noisy no value

Posted Apr 19, 2015
Hotel staff is yes very nice, but i am sure it's to compensate for the horrible condition this hotel is in. For the money there are far better places to stay in the city. It was also noisy to top it off, so that made the experience even worse. Totally regret staying at this hotel. Oh and the carpet in my room was all lifting along the perimeter of the room, just added to the awful condition of this place. Smelt musky as well. Avoid if you can.
