Overall, great. The keypad used to enter property is awful in sunlight. At one point, we called Kingfisher b/c we could not read it, and they had someone out within 15 minutes, so kudos for that.

Fantastic Location, Well-Maintained, Ample Space
This property on Captiva was fantastic for our family of five. The home is extremely clean with comfortable beds, stays cool on hot days, and is walkable to everything in the Captiva Gallery. It was very well supplied with plentiful dishes, newer appliances, and fun games. The locals are definitely working hard to get everything open and while there is a lot of construction going on around the island, it did not disturb us. A few quick notes on the property - the furniture in the property does not match the online photos but is comfortable/matches the number of seats. Most bedrooms have some small windows with no shades or shades that do not eliminate much light so if you require blackout to sleep, come prepared. The outdoor shower and beach supplies are fantastic but the Captiva beach access points do not have sprayers to wash sand off of feet so it can be a longer walk for little ones.

Paradise!
We loved the 'tree house' feel of the house. Property is lush and very well-kept. The rooms were inviting, bright and cozy. The kids absolutely loved staying in the loft area and having a space of their own. The proximity to the beach, restaurants and other amenities was so convenient. Cant wait to visit again!

Perfect stay
The house is exactly as advertised, convenient to everything on Captiva and not far from beach access. The only thing travelers might want to know is that the kitchen is not stocked with basics such as salt/pepper, etc. Not a big deal since you are likely going to the grocery store, but good to be aware. Highly recommend the property.

Captiva vacation
This property was perfect for us. We found the location to be an easy and quick walk to the beach, with beach towels, flotation devices, beach chairs, and umbrellas provided. The house was beautiful inside and had lots of space, plus everything that we needed. It is located in a quiet neighborhood and has a large deck and a large enclosed screened porch. We (four adults) thoroughly enjoyed our stay and found Captiva a great spot to vacation.

Perfect Spot for Pandemic Getaway
Our family moved our bubble to Captiva for a week and really enjoyed the stay. "Just By Chance" has a great location in walking distance to most restaurants and stores in town, within biking distance to the end of South Seas Resort and Sanibel (if one was ambitious); we only used the car to grocery shop or get to the particular fishing spot. The house was exactly as advertised: clean, convenient, well-appointed, and ideal for our family of 5. With older teens and young twenty-somethings, schedules are not always in synch so it was great that we were able to each have our own bedrooms. The porches in the front and back offered enough space and privacy for yoga and band workouts. One night, the Wifi went out for an hour, and the emergency maintenance person could not have been more responsive. He called Comcast, identified that it was an outage on their end, and checked back in to ensure things were up and running again. All in all we had an awesome vacation and "Just By Chance" had a lot to do with it!

A cozy set-up. Nice location.
Hassle free search and selection. When front door electronic lock failed due to low battery, property manager immediately navigated me to where a key was hidden! Great and very responsive

Fantastic Captiva Island Vacation Home
‘Just By Chance’ Captiva Island vacation home delivers on virtually everything one could ask for from a beach house. Our party of 6 was very comfortable with more than ample living areas spread throughout the open floor plan. Two screened-in porch areas offer wide lounging featuring a ‘treehouse’ vibe along with a cozy breakfast nook with a soothing wind chime. The gourmet kitchen was well-appointed with upgraded appliances if a bit lacking with sufficient utensils and cookware for the more discriminating home cooks. Very nice furnishings, decor, and bathrooms (though we could have used another half bath), plus a handy outdoor shower downstairs to help rinse out all the sand from tired beach feet. A short stroll to the beach down Laika Ln was made easier by the golf cart we rented from a nearby merchant which we recommend. All in all, ‘Just By Chance’ will forever be engraved in our family’s hearts for being the epicenter of our unforgettable 2020 Captiva Island vacation!

Short Family Reunion for the 4th of July
"Just By Chance" is even better than described. New, updated finishes were beautiful, house was well laid out and had everything we needed... plus more! Everything was sparkling clean. Rental company was super helpful, with lots of clear communication, even worked out some special logistics we needed to accommodate our elderly family members. Beach was a close, easy walk, but we rented a golf cart. Would highly recommend this house for family get togethers!

My BF and i decided to get away for a long weekend. The house was very cute, the beds were extremely comfortable, the house is centrally located within walking distance to EVERYTHING, including the beach. The only thing i would like to suggest it to clean under the beds. I always look to make sure a shoe or any personal property my have slid underneath the bed. The underneath was very dusty. Not a big deal, we loved the house and its location. I would recommend this house to anyone.

Just by Chance we found "Just by Chance"
This is a good location very close to Captiva Village and all the restaurants and a fairly short walk to the beach. It was spacious and very open plan. The landscaping around the house was a nice added feature.
