Beautiful location
Very comfortable accommodation with gorgeous view. The practically empty beach is right there for a beautiful walk. We saw whales. We also enjoyed the community basketball court and hot tub. Perfect for our long weekend.

Great location, good experience
Gorgeous location, with great views from living, dining and master bedroom. It’s a beautiful quiet beach with amazing sunsets, birds and very few people. House is roomy and comfortable, decor is beach house vibe. We had a lovely time and it was a great location to access Moss Landing for whale watching and great coffee/cafe and also Carmel and Monterey. Would definitely consider staying again. Thank you for sharing your home with us. Only improvements suggested - Kitchen implements need some attention - at least one sharp knife or a knife sharpener, the nonstick pans need to be replaced and the dishwasher is ancient and does not clean well. Also several of the door hinges need WD 40 esp. the master bath.

The beach at Monterey Dunes
Monterey Dunes is a gem along the beach, and the beach holds the magic. The apartment was well equipped and convenient. The beds were comfortable and the location is tops.

Peace and Tranquility
Looking for a peaceful, relaxing stay? This place is it!! You may think with these being townhouses you might hear your neighbors but that is not the case. We only knew people were there due to their cars parked in the spot. Beach is a very short walk and private as well. We saw whales, dolphines, a seal, and even an otter. We also saw lots of cute bunnies around the vegetation. The house has everything you need for cooking and they even provided shampoo in the showers. They have beach towels if you decide to go to the pool for a swim. Very minimal rules and clean up procedures. Owner is very responsive and nice. We loved this location as it had the same privacy feeling for us coming from the sierra mountains. This will definitely be a future visit for us.

Bright Condo with a View
Pro's: friendly security at entrance, gated community, isolated community, beach to yourself, complimentary bottle of wine, 3 minute walk to beach, modern and clean furnishings, updated and light paint colors on walls and ceilings, ample silverware and dishes, coffee maker and filters, plenty of trash bags, liquid soap at every sink, shampoo and conditioner in each shower, beach towels for the beach, beautiful views of the ocean, new tv's, free wifi, all the appliances worked, including the laundry machines and dryer, and it was a very quiet area. Con's: fireplace was broken, outdated cabinets in kitchen and bathrooms, cabinets are not slow close (we all ended up slamming them on a regular basis), strong musty smell throughout the condo- had to leave windows open and place coffee beans in each room to absorb the odor.

The View -- Ocean and Dunes!
This is a great spot directly on the ocean. We were in Monterey after a family wedding and rented several units in Monterey Dunes Colony. We love this development! It's perfect for a low key getaway to explore all that Monterey, Carmel and the coast have to offer. The unit is exactly as it appears in the pictures. The common area space is perfect for lounging and taking in the AMAZING view from the living room windows and front deck. Thank you for sharing your home with us. We'll be back!

We really enjoyed out stay - our son was getting married in Monterey and my mother in law and daughter were able to stay with us - away from the crowds, but close enough to get to the events. House was clean and easily accessible. Kenneth was a wonderful host - it was a great stay

Peaceful beach retreat
We loved our stay in Moss Landing. The house was clean and comfortable with excellent water views and everything we needed. Nice new pots and pans, good bedding and towels, plenty of hot water. A short drive to Monterey and easy beach access. Groceries convenient enough in Salinas. Worth the drive for the privacy and quiet beachfront.

Large living room with great view of ocean.
Perfect for grown up family because it has three spacious bedrooms each with full bath and a large living room area. Short walk to beach from house. It would have been nice to have an outdoor table on the patio that has an ocean view instead of the table in the front yard that was covered and not usable. Very clean except two of the bathroom's had hair in tub area. We loved this house and want to return!

secluded with no frills
Pros: Secluded , beach to yourself, beautiful views, lots of beds/bedrooms/baths Cons: Three levels with lots of stairs but the sound is like all the rooms are in one room, smelled like wet dog when we arrived, no cable TV or movies to watch and we didn't know that we needed to bring adapters so that we could plug in our phones to the HDMI cable outlet , no beach toys to use, but they do have towels.

Great family room with view!!!
I will definitely stay here again!!! The family room is amazing, it has two sofas and one is gigantic. Plenty of room for the whole family and with an awesome view. I would like a few upgrades. The stove/oven does not work well, it's old, at least one of the burners did not work and the oven runs hot. The pot and pans are way past their prime and unsafe. Most are non-stick pan and they are flaking off. We did not use them! next time we stay here if the pans are not replaced, I would just donate some from Walmart, their cheap.

We love Monterey Dunes Colony
We've been coming to Monterey Dunes Colony for many years and have stayed in many different units. This property is very nice, but it really could use some updates. Some items didn't work (a stove burner, one of the bathtub stops), and the blinds were very dirty. That said, this is the best place for being by the beach, and there is lots to do in the area.

The beach house is located right on the water. That was the best part. The house itself could use some updates, it is pretty aged. The proximity to restaurants and grocery is not great. Feels like you are in the middle of nowhere.

Great spot
If you want to be on the beach, this is the place. The house was in need of some upgrading. The carpets were very dirty! The blinds in the kitchen were rusted and dirty, as the trash is in front of them. Overall, it was a great stay, just needs attention.

Thank you for your comment. We have plans to replace the carpets and blinds in the near future. In the interim, we are having a professional carpet cleaning service back to do a deep clean of the carpets and address the stains.

Fantastic house!
This property is wonderful - well equipped and comfortable. The pictures, especially the ones with the views of the dunes/water, are totally accurate. You can sit on the living room couch and watch surfers out the window. Open the sliders at night and you can hear the surf. The location in Moss Landing is close by kayak rental, whale watching tours and sand castle making. We highly recommend this property with one caveat - not great for toddlers as there are a few flights of stairs.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The unit is literally steps from a beautiful, clean, secluded beach. The unit had everything we needed, including beach towels, kitchen utensils, spices, etc. Communication with the owner was very smooth. Thank you Ken for a wonderful time!

House on the beach to get away from it all
My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The beach house was exactly as described and had lots of amenities ready for us. Check in was a breeze. The location is very secluded (community is surrounded by farmland) and the beach was clean. Will definitely come back!

Beautiful place, comfortable & well appointed, views fantastic!
We stayed for a long weekend with 5 adults. We all had plenty of room with the 3 bedrooms & 3 bathrooms, and all slept well on the comfortable beds. We found the Wifi to be pretty good and we had a number of devices using it. The property manager was communicative and we had no issues during our stay. I stay in a number of VRBOs and found the set up was good with plenty in the kitchen to cook & serve meals. The view is fantastic and it's a very short walk to the beach. We drove to Monterey Fisherman's wharf a couple of days and that's about 20 minutes away. The only suggestion I would make is to add some more throw blankets as we were staying in the fall and found it a little chilly and didn't want to all drag the bedding off our beds to be cozy. That's my only suggestion, we had a great stay!
