We were really disappointed in the cleanliness of our room. We had just come from a hostel in Switzerland and Le Dune was somehow much dirtier. We ended up leaving before the first night was even over. Staff was very friendly but the conditions of the place were not up to par. Would recommend looking elsewhere to stay or do what we did and stay in Taormina with better dining and walkable shopping.

Nice location, great pool and breakfast. Very close to beach and included a pass to an area with chairs and umbrellas. The hotel was nice, but it is adjacent to several abandoned industrial buildings. Property access was initially unclear, as it was located from a road, adjacent to the main thoroughfare. A/C in room was weak.

This was a very convenient place to stay for a short part of our journey. We travelled from Palermo as our starting point with a rental car. We returned the car at the Catania airport which is 8 minutes drive and flew out very early. The staff are friendly and helpful. There isnt a lot to do in that area but there is a beach right across the street and the hotel gives a pass for the lido.

Won't stop there again.
Not a good choice, place was full of soldiers smoking so there was no way I could comfortably use the pool, which incidentally was nothing like the photos. The room was quite tired, the shower terrible. Parking was very difficult. The food was ok, but nothing great. The staff were friendly and helpful as they could be, but overall not somewhere I'd stay again. Not helped by getting lost getting there because the address on Hotel.com is not the exact same road name as on the sat nav and Google maps. Ironically there is another road the same name as listed in hotel.com within the same postcode so I ended up somewhere very different.

Clean and tidy hotel, friendly and helpful reception, bedroom and bathroom were fine, clean and spacious. Fine pool and garden area. Sort of handy for the airport but you would need a taxi which is expensive for a few kilometres or a car and the road is really bad especially during peak times If you stay, eat first, the surrounding area is like a set from the Walking Dead, walking into the centre is just plain dangerous, involving large road and intersections with no pavements. The hotel restaurant serves a great breakfast but avoid dinner if you have eaten antwhere else in Sicily, care home food served by the keystone cops.

Last night in Sicily
We stayed at the Le Dune hotel for our last night before leaving Sicily. It was perfectly located about a 10 minute drive to the airport and a 5 minute walk to the beach. The staff was super friendly. Food was very good (we had dinner there and the breakfast buffet in the morning). A nice perk is free access to a private beach club across the road. The hotel pool is also very good and they have a bar open until late in the evening. A great place to stay to start or end a trip when flying into Catania.

Good location
Very convenient hotel for proximity to airport as had an early flight the next morning. The reception staff were extremely helpful. Breakfast was adequate but not an issue - rooms tidy and clean. Wifi worked well.

Good hotel but let down by the area
Hotel was ok, we arrived around 11pm and I think we got the last room (#57), what I wasn't expecting was the very small shower, I'm 6ft 2 and fitted inside but no room to move let alone wash, but, in the morning when I alerted the staff to this, we were moved to a recently vacated room (#52) which was exactly like the photo's on this site and a shower I could move in. The staff I couldn't fault, courteous, helpful, spoke very good English. The only thing that really let this hotel down was the area it's in, quite run down and not a lot to do if you don't have a car or a means of transportation but, the owners of this hotel have done a sterling job of maintaining the hotel well. I would say if you want a no frills stay and looking to explore with a car and looking for just somewhere to sleep and some nice food, you wouldn't go far wrong but, if you are looking to just crash at the hotel, certainly around April, then there is not a lot going on locally.

Nice terrace close to the beach.
It´s a very nice Apartment, with a nice terrace and a lot of space. We had some problems with the water pressure and shifting heat. The apartment is situated in a backyard on 2. floor, close to a west facing beach, where you can watch the sunset. You can easy walk to the town or the Castle where you will find at very nice view.

We were there for one week we found the hotel very good room was cleaned every day sheets were changed every day staff were very friendly and helpful bus was across the road but not very frequent but did not ruin our holiday beach was great it was the most enjoyable holiday and would highly recommend it

Hotel was comparable to a Motel 6 in the US - adequate at best. It's worn, and not the cleanest place. There are packs of feral dogs in the area, so it's a little scary walking in the area at night. The best I can say is that the hotel is very convenient to the Catania airport.

Nice hotel away from city, close to the beach.
We stayed here for a couple of days and it was very tranquil. We lounged by the pool, had a drink or two at the bar, ate meals at hotel. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is accessible by public transit. Just need to take a bus from train station to one of the piazzas and transfer to one other bus which will drop you off in front of the hotel. ***Travel tip, buy your return ticket when you purchase your tickets to go to the hotel. The bus does not accept payment nor do they sell tickets. *** Once you have a ticket only validate it on the bus or stations from travel that day. We would definitely recommend Le Dune Sicily hotel to anyone. Thanks for a great stay.

Nice Hotel by the Beach
The hotel was great, comfortable and spacious room, staff were very helpful, and great if you want to be close to the beach. However, if you are only staying in Catania for a short stay, this is probably not the best option as you need to either catch a bus (only runs every 45 minutes) or cab to the city centre. Not much to do in terms of night life due to the location, aside from this its a great stay if you have time and don't mind staying outside of the centre.
