However, I truly apologize for the unfortunate power outage and the impact it had on your trip.I completely understand your frustration, and I want to assure you that the power outage at 9:45 PM was beyond our control and completely unscheduled. We were also made aware of the situation by another guest, and we confirmed that it affected the entire residential area, as indicated in the communication from Duke Energy.We made sure to make efforts to address the situation promptly. We took the initiative to contact and email all guests who were checked in on that day to keep everyone informed about the lack of energy and water. Additionally, we provided water bottles to each guest to help alleviate any inconvenience while waiting for the power to be restored.I understand that this experience was less than ideal, and I'm truly sorry for the disruption it caused during your stay. While we do our best to maintain a comfortable and enjoyable environment for our guests, unfortunately, we cannot predict or prevent such unforeseen incidents.Once again, I apologize for any inconvenience this power outage may have caused, and I hope to have the opportunity to host you again in the future under more favorable circumstances.

We give one parking pass per reservation, we allow two cars per cabin and the additional parking pass has a cost of 10 dollars.As for the pool, yes it is under renovation that is why is it not being advertised as part of our amenities. We have an equally fantastic alternative - our beautiful beach! In regards to the scattered bottles, we apologize for any littering that occurred. We do our best to maintain cleanliness on our premises, but sometimes, especially on busy Friday nights, it can be challenging to keep up. We appreciate your understanding.Regarding the sewage smell emanating from your bathroom, we take these matters seriously and promptly addressed your report. Our maintenance team checked the tub and bathroom on the same day and found no issues or foul odors. Additionally, our housekeeping team also checked the cabin during cleaning and did not encounter any problems. It is important to note that another set of guests stayed in the same cabin without any complaints and even extended their stay. Upon checking out, they reported having enjoyed their time with us.We apologize for any discomfort caused by the smell, but we assure you that our team thoroughly investigated and found no evidence of a problem.We value your feedback and will use it to improve our services. Hi Alisha, we want to first acknowledge the unpleasant experience you had with us. We understand that there were some misunderstandings, so allow us to provide you with clarifications.Regarding the booking, the deals we have on Hotels.com and Expedia are not available for walk-in guests. Additionally, you had made a reservation for Aug 28-29 on Hotels.com (through Expedia), but you wanted to check in on Aug 26-27. The payment might not have been reflected in our system because Hotels.com (through Expedia) activates the payment on the check-in date.Moving on to your concerns about the "private beach," we would like to clarify that our private beach is accessible to all resort and marina members, as well as registered guests staying in our tiny house cabins. As for the incident with unattended kids behaving inappropriately, we apologize for any inconvenience caused. Our office hours end at 5 p.m., but we have an after-hours customer service line that can be reached at +1 704-588-1467 for addressing such issues. And the police came for a problem with some guests for another cabin. We also want to address the issue of no running water or Wi-Fi during your stay. As we have been explaining to all our guests over the weekend, a power surge caused by a lightning bolt damaged the cable to our pump house around 10 p.m. on 8/26. Due to it being a Sunday night, we were unable to obtain the necessary parts for repairs, resulting in the water only being restored at 10 am the following morning. We understand that this lack of water was inconvenient, but please note that you still had full use of the cabin and facilities. To compensate for the inconvenience, we offered you a free night in the cabin of your choice between October 1st and December 30th. However, we understand that you did not accept this offer and instead opted for a 50 refund, which is currently being processed.We deeply apologize for any frustration or distress caused, especially considering you had your two small kids with you. Please know that addressing these issues and ensuring customer satisfaction is of utmost importance to us. We appreciate your feedback and would like to assure you that we are taking steps to prevent similar incidents from happening in the future.
