From Chester, it's approximately 90 miles (145 kilometers) to the southeast to Reno and 110 miles (177 kilometers) to the southeast to Lake Tahoe.
Independent travelers can use Chester as a starting point for other adventures. Northern Interior California has a number of attractions. If you're looking for other places to check out, you'll find Quincy, 30 miles (48 kilometers) to the northwest, and Susanville 30 miles (48 kilometers) to the west.
Organize some transportation and head out to Susanville, a shopping and transport center for the region, located approximately 30 miles (48 kilometers) from Chester. The place has a wide range of attractions, such as Diamond Mountain Golf Club, Lassen County Chamber of Commerce and Susanville Ranch Park. Lassen County Fairgrounds and Lassen Historical Museum a few of the other visitor attractions to see for those who have time left.

Sadly, vacations can't go on forever, so when it's time fly home, head to the nearest major airport in Chico, 50 miles (80 kilometers) away.
