Awesome Property to stay
Lonesome Duck was a lovely property to stay on. Steve, Debbie, and family were friendly and helpful from when we booked until we left. I highly recommend it, the peace and quiet were unbelievable to this city girl. Sitting out on the porch each night and watching the nightlife was nice. It was nice to walk around the property during the day.

Fantastic Gem on the Williamson River!
We spent a couple of days here while explore Crater Lake NP. Wish we could have spend more time just relaxing at the cabin, because it and the property are spectacular! Will absolutely stay here again the next time we're in the area.

Relaxing time
We had a wonderful stay. The cabin is very cute and clean. The yard was lovely, we sat and watched the fish jump and birds fly by. A great location for a visit to crater lake and other hikes. The owners and managers were friendly and professional. We would stay here again.

Perfect for Women Weekend
Cabin and surrounding outdoor area is beautiful, spacious, and easily accommodated all of us. Within 45 min of ziplining, our main reason for our group of 7 women traveling to area. Loved use of canoes for rowing up the Williamson River that has plenty of wildlife to enjoy. Tracy and Jeff were very friendly, and prompt to help us with various needs. We would definitely stay here again!

Perfect and Peaceful!!!
We stayed here during our tour of Oregon Lonesome Duck could not be a more beautiful setting. The river is gorgeous and so peaceful. Sitting on the back porch in the evening was the perfect t end to a day at Crater Lake. The hosts are super friendly and helpful. The cabin was spotless and we all slept great! Should we find ourselves back in the area…we will FOR SURE book here again!

Great Spot!
We had a great vacation staying at Lonesome Duck Ranch. The spot on the river is beautiful and the managers were great. Our little kids loved playing with the dogs, going on canoe rides and feeding the horses. Don’t forget bug spray and try to bring all the food you need, the grocery/restaurant situation in Chiloquin is pretty limited.

Beautiful location near Crater Lake
We booked this house for our family of 4 to visit nearby Crater Lake. The location is beautiful, right on the Williamson River, and there were lots of birds to watch and the bats came out at night. The kids enjoyed kayaking and canoeing, exploring the property, and throwing sticks for the dogs. Wish it had been a little cooler since the master is upstairs and even opening the windows at night we were quite warm 2/3 of the nights (probably not a problem most of the year). Overall, we enjoyed our experience here!

Wonderful setting
The log cabin home was beautiful, the amenities numerous, the yard by the river idyllic, and the hosts truly nice people. Stay here (just not when we want to come back)!

Easy trip to Crater Lake and Lava Caves
This is an awesome place to stay close to crater lake (45 minutes) and the lava caves in Northern CA (just over 1hr). The property is lovely and quiet. Great access to river and fishing. Canoes and kayaks available. Managers live on site next door. There is no dishwasher or laundry available. I missed this when booking. If you dont like well water I would bring some of your own. Klamath falls is best place to eat out and get groceries. Definitely check out train mountain Railroad museum.

Lovely cabin on a beautiful property
The property is beautiful and a great location to explore Crater Lake and other Southern Oregon/Northern Ca locations. We didn't get a chance to do any fishing or exploring the river so we look forward to that for the next trip. Steve made sure we were taking care of and his sidekick Clara was great entertainment. Thanks again for the Lava Bed National Monument recommendation.

Great log cabin on wonderful property
This cabin manages to be cozy and spacious at the same time. The six of us each had plenty of space. The beds are very comfortable with plenty of bedding available. The cabin is extremely clean. The kitchen has everything we needed to prepare all our meals there. The sulphur smell of the water is initially a little alarming for those of us not used to it, but a full Brita filter was ready when we arrived and made the water very palatable. The grounds of the ranch are amazing. Highly recommend walking the loop, and if you are invited to meet and/or feed the animals take advantage of that opportunity! The kayaks and canoes were so much fun; the river has a steady current even in September but was not too hard to keep up with (our youngest is 11yo and had no problems). It was unfortunately fairly smoky during our stay, but we spent time enjoying the ranch outside as much as possible. And we got to watch and hear the bats leaving their houses at night - a truly amazing experience! The owners and managers were extremely responsive and kind. The drive to Crater Lake was pleasant. We were worried that we would regret being so many miles away from it, but that was not an issue at all. Overall, we can very highly recommend the Lonesome Duck Ranch cabin!

Fantastic. Nicer than the pictures. Excellent hospitality. Kids loved it.
Such a beautiful house and property. Yard full of grass and right next to the river bank. Kids loved meeting the dog, llamas, and horses with the owner, Steve; such a unique and special feature of the property. Thanks Steve! Managers were so friendly and helpful. Row boats and canoes available to use on the Williamson River right in your backyard. Beds were very clean and super comfortable. Place was immaculate and well decorated. Showers were hot. We cooked breakfast every morning. Casino restaurant is 24/7 and really good, also enjoyed eating food from JJ's. Thanks for an excellent ranch experience! We got to see Crater Lake National Park and had a great vacation.

Idyllic Experience
A lovely location on the Williamson River. Much better than the pictures. Home was extremely clean and well- stocked kitchen! The manager, Kathy, and owner, Debbie, were very gracious, kind & patient with our kids. Debbie showed the llamas and horses to our boys. Clara, their energetic black Lab was a big hit! There was lots of animal sightings on the property- rabbits, quail, hated, bats, birds. Hammock in the backyard was awesome. Propane grill on back porch in great condition. Superb location - we visited both Crater Lake NP and Lava Beds NM multiple times. Highly recommend!

A comfortable and exciting location
This property has an amazing number of facilities. From simple walks to canoe/kayaking down the river to snoozing in a hammock, there is a lot to do on property. Beyond the property is, of course, Crater Lake. Only 35 minutes away. Remember to bring a lot sack lunch The restaurants in the park are over crowded. The picnic tables are available en-mass and so scenic. Property owners and property managers are different, a little messy but we managed well enough. Don't depend on the VRBO messaging. Go directly to the managers. Overall a very good experience.

Spring Break Family Getaway
We had an unforgettable time at the ranch. The property manager and owner set us up with canoes and snow shoes, recommended hikes, and made time to take our kids out to walk the llamas and feed the horses. The rushing river and bird feeders provided constant entertainment and our 12 year old spent an afternoon playing fetch with Clara the dog. I had no idea when booking this cabin that we were booking such an “all inclusive” and uniquely wonderful experience. Writing this review makes me want to pack my bags and head right back. Thank you for such an epic stay and memories!!

Lonesome Duck Ranch
Our stay at Lonesome Duck Ranch was the best, most peaceful and comfortable vacation location we have ever experienced. Our hosts were so kind and gracious. They were available to us, more like neighbors, if we needed anything, and always friendly. The cabin is perfect rustic comfort. The bed was wonderful. We were able to cook and enjoy our meals in the cabin, social distancing in the best possible way. The location on the Williamson River is really what makes it the most memorable. We could watch for birds and simply relax surrounded by the beauty of the area. There is a peace at Lonesome Duck Ranch. Something we all need. The Klamath Basin and Crater Lake areas provide so much to see and experience if you love spending time in nature. We loved the abundance of Fall colors. We will definitely come back with our family and spend more time. Lonesome Duck Ranch is a perfect setting for families or a romantic get-away. The ranch is very special.

Beautiful location, a few things to know
Overall, we loved our stay at Lonesome Duck ranch. The communication prior to our arrival was excellent. The landscape is beautiful and the access to Crater Lake and may other Oregon attractions is terrific. The log cabin was sparkling clean; it felt like it was almost brand new! We enjoyed NOT having a TV and the Wifi allowed us all of the connectivity we needed. There were two things that hold us back from 5 stars here. 1) the water in the cabin smells like sulfur (rotten eggs). While there is a Brita provided, it is an unpleasant smell every time you run the tap / shower / etc. We'd recommend that the owners think about a built-in water filtration system as it is really unpleasant. 2) the log cabin is not quite as private as it seems; there were multiple staying on the property (in RVs, guest of the owners, etc) that walked through the property. Not the end of the world, but probably not quite the secluded location it seemed in the description. Overall, we really liked it and feel lucky to have visited!

Amazing getaway!
We stayed at Lonesome Duck Ranch for a couple nights, and wished it was many more! We had an amazing stay. The owners and caretakers were extremely friendly, helpful and efficient. The home was absolutely beautiful - well appointed and situated right on the Williamson River. We loved the plethora of birds, llama walks, kayak/rowboat time and just overall R&R. Our entire family loved being there - my husband and I and our kids aged 15, 13 and 4. We can't wait to return!

Absolutely amazing
If you are anywhere close to this area, you must stay at this property! Out of our 2 week vacation around OR and CA, our two night stay at Lonesome Duck Ranch was the highlight for our family of 4....and we did some incredible things in those 2 weeks. We all wished we had more time to relax and enjoy the river, swimming pond, dog Clara, and everything else at the ranch. Steve and Debbie are engaging, thoughtful, friendly, and knowledgable owners. They went above and beyond to share their love of the ranch with us and especially our kids, ages 9 and 11. Thank you Steve and Debbie (and Clara!!) for creating memories that will last a lifetime!

Perfect getaway with the family
This property exceeded our expectations in all ways. My husband and I and our 2 boys (8 and 11 yrs) stayed here for 4 days and it was truly amazing. The boys fished nearly the entire time from the river right out back, we spent hours kayaking and canoeing, swimming in the pond, and just exploring the property. The drive to Crater Lake was also better than expected so we were able to make that drive a few times. Would definitely go back!

Great river cabin getaway
This cabin is beautiful, clean and in a beautiful setting. The owners and the manager were so nice and very responsive to any questions. They allowed us to walk and explore the whole property which was awesome for our family. Our daughters loved petting the horses that came right up to the fence to greet us. The porch was great to hangout on and we had fun playing horseshoes. We didn’t realize that the cabin was connected by the carport to the managers cabin but we still had plenty of privacy. There are no windows facing their cabin so you would never know they are there. I would highly recommend this property!

This was very first wonderful stay and trip i enjoyed so far staying in this property. This property is very good decision to stay if somebody planning to visit to Crater lake. The house has everything to stay/cook/read/explore nature around/ river 50 steps to house. Super log cabin with all the comforts of home
We really enjoyed our stay in the Lonesome Duck cabin. The owners and managers lived nearby and were very friendly and responsive. The cabin lies along a great trout fishing river and includes, canoes, kayaks, etc. We had great fun kayaking up the river and seeing bald eagles and turtles. The ranch is very well maintained and had several trails throughout. There is a little bit of noise from the nearby highway and train tracks but it was hardly noticeable. We loved the hammock and the horseshoes too.
