Hill Country is dotted with things to do and see, from tourist hotspots to lesser known gems. You'll find Brownwood, 25 miles (40 kilometers) to the west, and Early 30 miles (48 kilometers) to the west.
Abilene is around 45 miles (72 kilometers) from Coleman. This center features a number of interesting points of interest, including Taylor County Expo Center, Abilene Zoo and Dyess Air Force Base. If your itinerary allows consider checking out Abilene Christian University, 12th Armored Division Memorial Museum and Paramount Theatre before heading back to Coleman.
Head to Hill Country's art galleries. These are great places to spend time, particularly when the weather is unpleasant.
