Ah yes, the road! It will always be unsealed and a little bit rough as it makes the cars drive slowly and the animals stay safe. No road kill on our road! I'm glad you enjoyed your stay and hopefully you can come back one day.

Hello Donna, I'm sorry that you didn't get the information from our website and from the booking platforms that we are 12 kms from the town of Coles Bay. It is clearly stated there and also that the road is a dirt road. I hope it didn't ruin your holiday.

Hello Leonard, I am sorry you were disappointed. There is something to be said for doing your research! If you go to our website www.freycinet.com you will see that there is a true representation of our property. It shows isolation, abundant wildlife, beautiful views and certainly no restaurant. When you make a reservation with us, we send an email directing you to www.winegalssbay.com which gives you further information about dining options and activities close by. Perhaps you didn't check that website. Freycinet Lodge has a courtesy bus that picks up guests free of charge from all accommodation businesses in the area in an effort to fill their restaurant, I hope you made use of this service as it is very helpful and efficient. Our beautiful lounge is furnished with hand made furniture made from Tasmanian timber and has spectacular views out over The Hazards. It is well equipped with board games and a pool table for your enjoyment. It is open daily to guests between 7.30 am and 9.30 pm. It could be that at the moment, a global pandemic has made people wary of gathering in crowded spaces. Normally the room is a busy hub of activity! It's a shame you didn't use it to view the mountains you were so keen to see. I hope your next holiday will be more rewarding!
