But you MUST drive here, because despite what the front desk says, it is NOT walkable to downtown Palisade (1.3 miles in the hot sun with no shade is not a good walk). And it’s shocking to me they don’t run a shuttle to/from downtown for people wanting to shop or dine there (or even rent a bike to ride around wine country). The breakfast is fine:...

"We had looked at other more expensive hotels in the Glenwood Springs area, but chose this one mainly because it is pet friendly. We are so glad we stayed here. Really wonderful hotel. Grounds are green and set among pine trees. Nice outdoor sitting areas and fire pits at night.Very clean and nicely furnished rooms with quality beds. Grassy area for our dog. Great breakfast in the lodge like atmosphere. Convenient drive to downtown and the Springs. Highly recommend this hotel for quality...
