MOUNTAIN BIKE, SIDE BY SIDE OR BRING YOUR HORSE RIDE RIGHT ON TO NATIONAL FOREST

Step in to this beautiful 3 Bedroom 2 bath cabin bordering San Juan National Forest on 2 sides with large covered porch. Stunning Views. Able to hike or ride a short distance off the property directly to the Boggy Draw Trail System. 3 miles to downtown Dolores. Centrally located to some of the most beautiful areas in SW Colorado like Mesa Verde, Durango & Telluride. Minutes from world-class hiking, biking & horse trails such as Phils World & Sand Canyon. House is situated in big pines with open eastern & southern exposure. Located at the end of a private lane, thus no through traffic, very private, no noise, other than the whispering pines and wildlife sounds. Master suite with log king-size bed and adjoining master bath. 2 separate bedrooms, both with log twin over queen bunk beds. Open floor plan, living room with large sectional sofa with queen size sleeping, farmhouse log kitchen table, large kitchen with nook on the other side of the kitchen with queen size pull out sofa, privacy screen. But believe me, you won’t want to sit indoors and watch TV there are too many things to do in the forest because it’s just right outside the door. Relaxing rustic firepit located on the property to sit next to in the beautiful evening air and roast marshmallows.

Rustic
Property was very close to Delores with a remote wilderness feel. Saw lots of deer and horses. Only about 20 min. to Mesa Verde National Park. The only drawback was the sulfur smell from the hot water. We had a great stay.

Awesome
Great place to stay! Nice, clean cabin nestled in the trees. Easy access to town/stores, easy check in and checkout via online. Most everything provided, dish soap, dishwasher soap, laundry soap, trash bags, towels, kitchen accessories, bring your own hygiene items, only one small hotel size shampoo and conditioner and there was a container on the wall for bath soap but nothing in it. Most everyone brings their own anyway. There was a s’mores kit supplied for us to make at the outside fire pit which was a lot of fun even the hangers to roast marshmallows. Just a great place to stay! Highly recommended!

White Christmas
Absolutely beautiful. We drove 8 hours from South West Arizona where we don't get snow at all. Every year we try and find a place to have a white Christmas and this year not only did my family get a white Christmas but also had their own space to relax. My son and his family drove in from Colorado Springs and said it felt like home. The hosts went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Everything was perfect.

Mountain Ranch Getaway
The property was nice and clean and roomy. The area was beautiful and very quiet. It was a very peaceful destination that we really needed being sort of spent from a lot of long work hours. really nice place to unwind and relax. It was actually a fishing trip for us to McPhee Reservoir. My only small disappointment was the location mapping on the listing that showed it closer to town and the river. We kind of looked forward to the quick walking distance to restaurants and fishing on the river. Instead, it was a drive to stuff which made it hard for our wives to go shopping without a vehicle. But, this was not a deal breaker at all. It ended up being a huge blessing with the quiet and solitude. We are very glad to have stayed here and would highly recommend it to anyone as a great stay for a quiet getaway. It was lovely. and we thank the owners for sharing their lovely place with us.

Stay Sept 22-24
The property was just as advertised. No issues whatsoever. However, I would recommend a propane grill to cook on. Charcoal takes too long to prepare. And some dish sponges with a course side would be helpful for washing pots/pans.

Our stay
The house had a weird smell to the water like rotten eggs that didn’t go away in all the sinks and bathrooms. That was a bummer. Not sure why that was. It was clean-ish there were cobwebs and spiders in every room and some dust on the counters and dishes but those washed up easy enough. We had trouble figure it out the dishwasher till the last day, so we hand washed all the dishes. The fire pit was amazing and the deck was amazing. The smaller bedroom bottom bed the planks of wood were cut short so you had to be very careful where you sat on it or you would fall through. The aesthetic was so adorable, just like a large cabin! Perfect for our family get together. We cleaned it very very well before we left including getting rid of the cob webs, stripping the beds and mopping the floor to leave it in better condition than we found it before we left and didn’t get our security deposit. This was a bit frustrating since we left it better than we found it and we didn’t get any correspondence as to why we didn’t get it back. A beautiful location, the peace and quit was very relaxing. It was close enough to town that we could get a few groceries when we needed them since we traveled from Wisconsin to stay there. Overall would stay again if we had gotten our security deposit back.
