The hotel room is huge and had a great view from our balcony. The staff was fantastic! The breakfast is sufficient but won’t knock your socks off. The location is perfect. The mattress was more firm than we are used too but we slept well.

Bath water pressure was good. Small room without aircon but ok this season. Request for mountain view room not acceded to. Was at Cortina during low season. Many shops were closed. Dinner and lunch options were limited. But scenery is captivating.

Hotel Aquila is on the main pedestrian street that goes through town. It is a 10 minute walk to the main bus station and also to the church in the center of town from which one can get a shuttle to the ski areas. So it is convenient for skiing, shopping, restaurants. Breakfast buffet was somewhat basic but good enough. The staff were friendly and helpful. My room was very small, but it did have a good partial view of some mountains since it was on the top floor. One problem was that the room was too hot (in the winter), even after I turned off all heat sources. It was difficult to sleep unless I opened the balcony door.

Four-day Christmas Getaway
Very comfortable hotel in the heart of the downtown area, walkable to all shops, restaurants, ski lifts. Very good restaurant / wine bar in the hotel, enjoyed breakfast and a few dinners there, including Christmas dinner. Friendly staff. Parking nearby, can park out front to unload/load. Maids could do a slightly better job on bathroom cleaning; was some mold starting in shower that we cleaned off. Overall, highly recommend.

We liked this place. It was a solid 3 star stay and very convenient. My wife came down with a sore throat and we decided to stay for 3 more nights. The staff of the front desk were for the most part courteous and considerate. However when my wife’s condition improved and we wanted to cancel the last night of the stay they would not credit us back the amount for that last night. As we were giving g then more than 24 hours notice I consider this to be bad behavior and definitely left an impression on what otherwise was a pleasant experience.

Super location, easy to get to shops and restaurants. Lorenzo was extremely helpful with recommendations for area hikes and restaurants (including best timing to get to Tre Cime). We had a much better stay in Cortina because of his help and advice -- we felt a bit bad asking so many questions but he was so knowledgeable! We had a takeaway breakfast each day but the dine-in looked fabulous. Terrific coffee and the hotel restaurant was excellent. Did we mention how awesome Lorenzo was?!?!

The location was convenient and they gladly stored our luggage for a week while we hiked. We arrived early, were welcomed and allowed to get into our room to shower and hand wash some clothes. Since it was Sunday, no laundry services available. We had an early am bus so they provided a “ take away” breakfast!

Great hotel for a quick trip. Close to all amenities including great bars and restaurants. Rooms are a little small but had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend Hotel Aquila.

Staff were very kind and courteous. Room was clean. Some minor wear and tear on the room, such as door molding pulling away from the wall and a sticky toilet flush button. Location was a noisy with street noise in the evening; not a negative, just an FYI.

Location excellent in center of city, close to bus station. Very few English speakers. Communication and reservation almost impossible. Nobody answers the phone and when they answer being told “ no speak English “ is disarming.

everything was so nice about our stay, the front desk was helpful and friendly, our room was extremely clean and the location was wonderful. It is s pity our good experience was completely ruined by the guy who mans the breakfast buffet. EXTREMELY RUDE! The breakfast is but because of covid regulations cannot be self-service, meaning you need to endure this horrible human first thing in the morning, which is no way to start the day. Unacceptable that they would have someone like this dealing with guests. On our second day we quickly decided not to eat there anymore, thats how terrible it was. And as he is part of the restaurant team as well, we did not have any meals on the premises as was our plan. Many guests companied about the same thing during our stay. As an example, a small girl asked him for juice at 9:35 and he refused her because breakfast was over at 9:30, even though the pitcher of juice was still set out and right in front of him! this is not hospitality.

Very clean, very friendly staff. Cute and homey ambiance. Centrally located in town, with a great restaurant right inside the hotel. People have said that the pillows were hard, but I found they were just fine for a temporary situation.
