The view was amazing from our room. They charged me $40 dollars for a late check out. We had 2 rooms. They said that we needed to pay for both rooms. Because if we payed for one room. only 2 people would be able to go in the room. We booked with Expedia. It said free breakfast included. They also charged us for breakfast at the hotel.

Dear. Good morning. We are surprised by your comment, sinse you had an upgrade in a nice room,and we explain to you in the check in your reservation did not include breakfast, because that was the type of your reservation. In the morning we give to you a cortesy with any aditional charge,u didnt pay for breakfats. With the issue of late check out, it is correct, you were a group of 6 people who wanted to all stay in one room, and is true we try to explain to you the room is specifically for the number of people who took the room in the reservation. When you left the hotel you were okay with everything , we do not understand your discomfort, in the same way if something was not correct in the service , we apologize. Thank you.

Got bumped to another property due to water issues
Moved to a different hotel because of a plumbing issue at our intended accommodation. The new place, Hotel Jaya (owned by same company)was very nice. We were communicated of this change a day+ in advance & property officials met us at the train station to assist with our arrival.

Highly recommend
My wife and I spent one night at this hotel. This hotel is superb. The room is spacious, clean and has a nice jacuzzi Tun. The breakfast was very good. I highly recommend this hotel.

We had originally booked here, but were informed that it was undergoing extensive remodeling. We were taken to its "sister" location, the Jaya Machupicchu, a beautiful place, with great accommodations and views! The room was very comfortable. The breakfast was also great and located on the top floor. We were originally met outside the train station by one of the staff members, providing a courtesy pick up for us so that we wouldn't get lost walking to hotel. This was very thoughtful of them. All in all a great stay! Would definitely stay again if needed.

The staff/owner were absolutely outstandibg and went well out of their way to help us. They met us at the train station and helped us get Machu Picchu and bus tickets which were cancelled at the last minute. Without their help, our vacation would have been ruined.

They helped us a lot taking our backpacks to the train station once we left the hotel, they also communicated with us to pick up us from the train station. Staff were really nice.

We were previously booked in this hotel by our Expedition tour group, due to unexpected circumstances required an additional day, the hotel staff went out of theyre way to accommodate us and provide us with everything we needed. They gave good tips for where to eat and also where we could get our laundry done, allowed us to use their computer/printer and provided the best breakfast buffet we could ever need....a wonderful place to stay!

The service was good. They booked us right by the staircase and it was extremely loud starting at about 4 am of people going to Machu Picchu. The bed was comfortable.

Great service
Good small hotel, room on the top is a bit noisy but room is big the bed as well and is very confortable. Really appreciate the luggage service, some one come to pick you up at the train station take care of the luggages. When you leave the same, you leave the luggage at the hotel and they deliver at the train station when you leave. This is very nice. Thanks Max!

My sister and I stayed here for just the one night while visiting Machu Picchu and had an enjoyable stay. There is a staff member who meets you at the train station to help you navigate your way to the hotel, and help with bags, as well as an umbrella in our case which was much appreciated. We arrived before official check in time and were organised a room which made things much easier for getting up to Machu Picchu that afternoon. While waiting on departure there were others also offered an early check in, so I think they try to accommodate things as best as they can. We had a very spacious room, though the bathroom was comparatively cramped. The room was clean, and the beds were decorated on arrival. A nice touch but probably not necessary given most people are there for outdoor activities. Breakfast was good with plenty of options and served from early which is convenient if you heading to Machu Picchu with the morning entry ticket. It was about a 10min walk to the bus station to take you up to Machu Picchu, and there were plenty of dinner options fairly close by, as well as the markets. The town itself is pretty compact so nothing is overly far away provided you don't mind stairs/a hilly walk. We'd stay here again.

Excellent customer service provided by Kevin at the front desk. He was very accommodating. Hot/cold breakfast provided. Assistance to store and deliver our luggages to the train station while we explored Aguas Calientes was convenient. Excellent value for the money. Our triple room was very spacious.

Needs better customer service
Three major complaints: 1. The hotel agreed to hold our bags when we went to tour Machu Pichu. However, the bags were not placed in a secure room, instead they were near the front desk. The main receptionist was not always there at the front desk, so the bags could have been easily stolen. 2. We came around 6 AM at the first day of our stay, however, the breakfast was not complimentary that initial day. A better customer service hotel would have allowed us to have breakfast the first day as we were very tired and hungry. 3. The checkout time was 10 AM, really!? All our other hotels and hostels allowed free checkout till at least 12 in the afternoon. Again, try to give better customer service. Good things about the hotel: 1. Jacuzzi was good; however, had to play with the stopper to not allow water to drain. 2. Bed was comfortable 3. Bathroom was clean 4. Shower had good mix of hot/warm water. Overall: The hotel attempts to presents itself as a high-class hotel; however, its customer service needs to improve a lot. Especially when the high room rate that it charges.

Great location and friendly staff.
Hotel staff met us at train station and walked us to get bus tickets for MP and then to the hotel which was fantastic as it would have been difficult to find. Hotel was clean and have is a huge room! Nicely decorated and quiet. Only one problem was they did not have hot water for shower. Called the front desk who came up and radio'd someone to turn up heat in which it was fairly warm for about 3 minutes.. Then went freezing again. It was too bad for the hot water because everything else was 5*.

Very comfortable hotel away from the noise of the town. Breakfast was simple and tasty and the staff was very helpful and provided excellent recommendations for vistiting Machu Picchu as well as local restaurants. Best night’s sleep we had during our vacation, only wish we haspd stayed more than one night.

3 amigas stayed there in one room for 2 nights
The hotel staff met us at Railway station to take us to hotel. It was in an excellent location on a pedestrian only street. We loved Agua Caliente- many great restaurants and awesome shopping and all very close to our hotel. We visited Machu Picchu of course while there. The breakfast was also delicious and plentiful and the breakfast room on the 7th floor (yes, hotel has elevators) had huge windows overlooking town. The staff was always pleasant & helpful.

There are 2 properties for the hotel. La cabaña and the Jaya. We were upgraded to the Jaya. I highly recommend the Jaya. Gorgeous rooms, elevator, safe in the room, direct tv and free internet, free and very filling breakfast. I cannot speak to the hotel La cabaña but if it is as nice as the Jaya, I wouldn't hesitate to book it.

Clean, but floor plan of the room is wired.
Location is good. Staff is nice. And clean. But, a big brand new jacuzzi is at the room without any door or anything! And the door of the shower is transparent! ( No changing space. (We reserved two rooms and both rooms are the same arrangement. So perfect for a honey moon, but not the best for us at least.

I booked La Cabana for 2 night I was met by a representative at the train station took me to a different hotel "Jaya Hostel", I booked a Deluxe Suite with balcony in La Cabana, when I asked why I'm being brought to Jaya Hostel, they said it was a better hotel. I asked them to show me my room in La Cabana and it was not a deluxe suite and no balcony, it was apps 200 sq. ft room. I went back to the Jaya Hostel and asked to cancel the 2nd night, they responded with; unable. I thought that was wrong, considering they didn't honor my original reservation, both hotel and room type. No Air Conditioning and it was warm FYI

The staff was very nice and attentive no doubt about that, it’s a small town so we had to walk to get to it not a problem, room was clean decoration on top of bed very nice A+, but owners o management hat to take care of the hot water problem we only stay a day had hot water same day afternoon and had to go up at Machu Picchu in the morning first bus woke up at 5am and no hot water very inconvenient, the bed was not very confortable when you pay a higher price than the other ones around at least you expect more I stayed in a different places cheaper but were clean and had hot water, if you don’t mind that then you can stay here sorry for me was not good, again the service from the staff was nice and attentive.

We actually didn’t stay at La Cabana. When we arrived they actually upgraded our room to their new sister hotel! It was closer to the main strip and closer to the train and bus station. The breakfast was great and the views were amazing!!

The hotel does not allow cancellation less than 14 days, even though we booked it less than 14 days of our trip. We tried to reduce our stay for a single night but they charged us the additional night anyway, even though we had to leave a day earlier. Do not stay here if you think there is any chance that your plans might change. They did not even offer partial refund. This had never happened to us, all of the hotels that we have stayed at in the past have always been good about this, at least a partial refund if we could not stay at all and most did not even charge us the nights we did not stay. Overall, the hotel was ok but it is loud due to street noise, the hot water for the jacuzzi did not work at all. We do not recommend staying here.

The place to stay
Very, very please. They were waiting for us when we departed the train and carried our luggage to the hotel. The room was clean, the staff was very helpful and breakfast was great. We slept in and they extended our checkout without an additional charge. Our train out was not until late afternoon and they stored our luggage for free in a secure place. This is the place to stay when you visit Machu Picchu. I will stay there again.

Warm hospitality in a busy town.
My family of four and my sons girlfriend were treated with attentiveness and anticipation to our needs. Warm and friendly hospitality as we would expect in our home town of Charleston South Carolina( Folly Beach). Coming to Machu Picchu is no easy trip. By the time you're at AC you're plumb tuckered out. The staff eased us into comfort and peace of mind. We had two rooms. Outstanding experience! Dinner at Indio Feliz is a must. We climbed both peaks in two days and the staff helped us tremendously with our complicated logistics to collect luggage, change clothes, and catch train on time.

Never Stay Again!
Our room had bed bugs! We left the hotel and ended up in a doctor to treat the many bites. It ruined the rest of our trip. We have contacted the hotel many times and they never respond. Worst customer service. You can't sleep since you can hear all the street noises and people. Extremely pricey for what you get. Don't recommend at all.
