I booked three nights but left after two. The hotel had a worn and moldy smell upon entering the front foyer. The general hotel access (after check-in) was dingy and filthy alleyway behind the restaurant beside the hotel. The bathroom had a small sink/no counter space and the only mirror in the whole room was the small one over the sink. It would have been easy to install an inexpensive full-length mirror behind the door. The bed was so lumpy I could barely get any sleep and the second night, the room smelled so badly of mold that I had the window open all night. The temperature was too low for this nonsense. Although the overall daily cleaning seemed fine, the room stunk of mold. The shower temperature was too hot. I turned the dial as low as possible and still could barely stand under the water. The room, located on the ground floor at the front of the building, had a massive window. I could not open the blinds unless I wanted to be on display. No effort was taken to apply any of the many easy and low-cost treatments to the glazing that would have afforded at least a bit of privacy. I left after two nights and moved to a hotel in Northampton - 1 hour away by bus! The manager was very nice, and I'm sure he is doing his best but this does not excuse the fact that there was no warning about mold - I have had a sore throat and congested lungs since I left.

Light kept me up!
The light in my room had a pale green emergency light bulb in it which stayed on when the main light was off meaning I found it very difficult to sleep. Otherwise the hotel was fine and staff were very good.

Clean and warm. Would stay again.
Easy to find. Large car park to the rear. Warm, clean comfortable room let down by being so near to a restaurant kitchen which was operating into the early hours with the door open. Other guests very noisy overnight - it felt like some were living at the hotel, but I might be wrong. No TV in room, but there is free WiFi. Pictures show a kitchen, but I wasn't told about this and not sure if it is available for guests to use. Fridge in room, which I switched off as it was too noisy.

Complete dump
Carpet was damp. Light in the room when switched off was a safety light so there was no way to switch it off completely. Therefore there was a green light on in my room all night. Bathroom floor was aweful and the shower had almost no pressure.
