We booked this property thinking it was in DeFuniak Springs. It is actually about 12 miles west of town. The only places to eat are either Waffle House or McDonald's. The young lady who checked me in gave me the name of a BBQ place about 5 miles away. Great food, reasonably priced. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable.c. David

This motel is the ghetto from hell. Filthy room with stains on the floor, burn holes in the sheets and bedspread, roaches, barking dog, holes in the walls and ceiling. Zero amenities either here or nearby. Says coffee available in lobby, such as it was with powdered creamer and lukewarm temperature. Owners and operator obviously don't care about the customers' experience. Expedia really needs to inspect these places prior to offering them on their website.. Not to mention it is nowhere near DeFuniak Springs.

Got to first room , faucet in tub didn't work . Got to other room and the fleas where awful , also it seemed like our sheets where just recycled ( reused after last guest) . Hair all over bathroom , floors completely dirty . Won't be staying here again .

I was a late check-in greeted by Lisa, who was helpful, personable and professional - as was the rest of the staff i encountered. Not like any 2star hotel I've ever experienced. The room was filthy. The towels were not ready when I checked in and brought later. They were dingy, mix matched and looked like rags. The bath had bugs crawling in it and long strands of dark hair on the shower walls. The bed sheets had not been changed and were soiled and dirty. I will never stay at a Red Roof again.

The room itself was in need of some repairs, such as the exhaust fan cover was hanging crooked with 1 screw, the linens were stained and extremely well worn. The front desk lady, Lisa, was very helpful and assisted where she could. The big negative is housekeeping. Picked up the dirty linens, but didn’t replace with clean. Didn’t dump the trash cans, didn’t leave coffee, never vacuumed and we made our own beds.

We reserved a non smoking room. They gave us a smoking room. They said it was because of our pet, but when we booked it said the hotel was pet friendly. It was during hurricane evacuation, and it felt like they were taking advantage of the fact that few hotels had rooms. The room was not only smoking the bed skirt had mold growing on it and the bedding had burn holes in it. Just not a good situation. Expedia ended up moving us 38 miles away to a new hotel.

If you are needing a one night stay it is great. We drove all day to get there for my family of 4 to want to take showers because of being sweaty from the Florida heat to find out we were only allowed 2 towels. Well I am sorry if there is 4 guest staying then you should receive 4 towels to shower with!!! Went down to the desk to ask for 2 more towels to be told that I am sorry there is only 2 towels per room. Easy check in nice big rooms but bring your towels if you have more than 2 people going.

When we arrived to check in, the front desk area was deserted, except for a young boy who told us that his mom, who happened to be the on duty front desk clerk, was gone “because she had to go get something.” An entire hotel left unattended. Wow. We went to dinner and came back an hour later, and she finally returned. It took her forever to check us in because “her system was down.” A total fiasco of a check in.

I travel for a living and this is the worst hotel I have seen in years. The rooms are very dirty and run down. TV, beds, linens are terrible. Everything reeked of body odor and smoke. Walls were a dark dingy blood red color..filthy! My clothing and everything in my suitcase smelled disgusting just from being in the room. This place is not safe.

Check in was easy and we were allowed to check in a little early. Pria was the nicest person we have encountered on our trip and she was very hospitable. The room was clean and we loved that our room had hardwood and tile. The shower had good pressure and the bed was comfortable. We would recommend to anyone to stay here.
