Cons: property felt old & run down; door handle fell off in my hand & couldn't be repaired by staff; marginal cleanliness; serious cigarette butts littered hotel entry way; children of cleaning staff playing in halls & elevator as we entered hotel & tried to get to our room.

The floor in our room was not clean, blaster pieces on linoleum and the rug was not vacuumed. Bathroom towels looked dirty as did the shower. Rug was stained in multiple areas and one wall had exposed drywall (paint scratched off). We did not want to change rooms, staff confirmed our observations and refunded our money.

Be prepared for a smokey smell. I dont know if the hotel has smoking rooms because its an extended stay - but there was constantly a smell of smoke coming into my room. The walls are extremely thin. The room behind my room, their cell phone kept vibrating on the side table next to the bed. The vibrating sound was so loud I was certain the phone was lost in my hotel room. I searched for 15 minutes and finally had to give up and just listen to the buzzing for another 10 minutes from the room behind mine.

The front desk staff was great. The first room assigned was a disaster and the second room appeared good until the rotting smell over powered the room. Cleaning staff forgot to empty the garbage from previous guest which had old food containers under the sink and the bathroom trash wasn't empty either. I collected my personal garbage and sealed it in a separate bag for disposal. The bed was clean and that was important. Again the front staff were nice!

had to try 3 rooms before I found one that didn't smell like cigarette smoke - despite it being a smoke-free location. seems like the extended stay clientele here found ways to bend the rules while staying addicted to their bad habit. rooms are going on extremely worn out and dated. cleanliness was pretty bad, room hardware was broken or chipped badly. shower stall had built-up old soap scum on it; and worse yet, stall was made of some speckled fake marble material, designed to "camouflage" dirt. So you couldn't really tell if it was clean or not. On the plus side, the limited staff were friendly, but probably in way over their head, led by a mgmt. that doesn't care or provide proper assistance. the place needs a complete turnover from the top down.

After entering the room I went to use the bathroom and there was pee stains on the toilet seat!!! I was so exhausted so I just cleaned it myself without calling the front desk. And then I found a bed bug on the bed crawling under the blanket between my husband and me. I took a photo of it after quickly smashing it with a tissue for the evidence. Also, the shower drain was not working at all. After my shower, we waited 10 minutes but it wasn’t draining so my husband literally had to put his hand into the drain and tried to clear some of the gross stuff that was settling there before he could take a shower and rinse off making sure the bed bugs weren’t on his body. It makes me sick remembering about it! Hairs everywhere in the bathroom and even in the kitchen sink and stains on the refrigerator. We didn’t want to sit on the chairs after seeing the room condition and ate our dinner standing in the room. We never had this kind of experience before so I thought it is worth mentioning.

We had a handicapped room. It would never pass ADA requirements. There’s no vertical grab bar for the toilet. The shower was extremely difficult to activate. There was nothing to hang the handheld shower on once it was removed from a high mounting. There was no bath mat, and the bar soap was very difficult to open.

I woke up one day and the alarm clock was flashing. So the power must have been out while I was sleeping. On Sunday, the fire alarm was going off for 15-20 minutes in the afternoon. I work nights. So this was especially inconvenient because it woke me up and I couldn’t get back to sleep for 2 hours and that only left me 2 1/2 hours to sleep. On Tuesday, there was no hot water in my room. The front desk staff said they would have maintenance check the boiler. But I had to go to sleep for work. When I woke up, there was still no hot water. So I had to take a cold shower. At least they refunded me for the last night for that.

Driving from Gurnee to Kansas to pick up a pup and used this hotel as a midpoint. Not what I expected for $200 for two nights. When I arrived, I requested a non-smoking room and I got a smoking room. The bathroom reeked of smoke. I had to clear off the toilet before I could use it because there were stains on it. I found a IHOP empty container underneath the bed. The bed was clean and comfortable. Seems like it. I sprayed lysol and lay down. The refrigerator also had a yellow stain inside of it so I didn’t even eat much because I was scared that I will pick up something. My last night there a fire alarm went off at 4 in the morning and I couldn’t go back to sleep. So I checked out super early and started to drive back home. I will never stay there again.

When is a good was it was closer to work as me and my friend are traveling nurses. But for having your kitchen, the fridge looks like it went through a fight you had to ask for somewhere cups plates, bowls, even a coffee maker, which we never got then we have to be up at 5 AM for work And the front desk person comes barging in our room with towels because she forgot she checked us in our room. Beds are like concrete pillows or like a stone and the noise is ridiculous outside all you can hear is traffic and in the middle of the night, some crazy person was screaming down the hall running , we did not sleep at all which we need when we work 16 hour days. We will never stay at that property again and there’s even mold in the caulking inside the sink and that look to be a newer condition but the kitchen it was disgusting and there was no eco-friendly options like USB charging , or not a major disappointment now I know why we spend the money for much better hotel accommodations but we thought we try something different.
