About this property

Entire place

You'll have the entire home to yourself and will only share it with other guests in your party.

Dun Aonaigh with spectacular mountain views. Enjoy a peaceful country retreat.

Dun Aonaigh Holiday Home is ideally situated in the Reeks District close to the Ring of Kerry and the iconic Wild Atlantic Way. It’s just three miles from Killorglin, home of Puck Fair, and less than half an hour from the bustling town of Killarney. Enjoy fantastic views of the splendid MacGillycuddy Reeks and Carrauntoohil, Ireland’s highest mountain, in a peaceful and tranquil setting, yet close enough to gain easy access to all the main tourist attractions in Kerry.

The comfortable three-bedroomed accommodation comprises a light and airy sitting room, spacious and well-equipped kitchen-diner, laundry room, and bathroom with shower and bath.
One of the bedrooms, with king-size bed, has an en-suite bathroom,
Second bedroom has a double and king size bed,
The third has two single beds
offering very flexible accommodation for up to eight people. Outside, enjoy the space with a one-acre garden and fantastic mountain views.

There’s plenty to do and see in the area: walking, swimming (Dun Aonaigh is in easy reach of Rossbeigh, a Blue Flag beach), playing a round of golf, enjoying a day’s fishing, exploring the Reeks District or touring the Dingle Peninsula, the Ring of Kerry and the Wild Atlantic Way. In the evening, dine in and watch the sun go down from the patio area.
Alternatively, eat out: Killorglin offers a great choice with cuisines to suit all tastes and pockets.
As an added bonus, Debra your host is happy to provide a wealth of information about places to visit and things to do. Employed in the local tourism industry and living in an adjacent property, she’s on hand to offer advice and answer any queries.
The bay windows look out at panoramic views of the Mcgillycuddy Reeks and Ireland's highest mountain.
Situated beside a 3 ring fairy fort in Dungeel (fort of the fairies) it gives you the feeling of total relaxation.
You will have all the home comforts with wifi, satellite TV, DVDs player , laundry room, a changing room for wet clothes after fishing or hiking.
You will find all the household essentials required to make your stay comfortable.
I have lots of tourist information in the house for your use.
Supermarkets open till 11 pm for late arrivals. You are 500m off the Ring of Kerry N72 road ideally located to tour Killarney, Dingle Peninsula and the Wild Atlantic Way.
Stay with me in the Reeks District for a few days, you will be guaranteed to need a few days to see everything that Mid Kerry has to offer.

An excellent starting point to so many day trips
We only stayed at the home for a couple nights, but the experience was amazing. The owner is awesome and very helpful. The home has a great layout with a living room with excellent lighting and view of the mountains. The home is equipped with everything you’ll need and the beds are very comfortable. We will definitely return to this home on our next trip.

Gem of a property in county Kerry
This was an amazing home, and we wished right away we had planned our trip differently to stay longer as we arrived late and departed first thing in the morning. Debra was so friendly and gave us a proper Irish welcome with all the tips, recommendations, and a dose of being able to chat with someone from the area. It has a huge kitchen, comfortable bedrooms, a great living space and a large property outside as well.

Lovely setting for a family gathering
Our family group of 7 adults truly enjoyed our stay. It was such a lovely setting to experience the Irish countryside. Debra was an excellent host ensuring our needs were met. We felt right at home and were able to relax and reconnect as we live in 3 different states and don't get a chance to see each other often.

Perfect place for our family. We travelled with 6 adults and two very young children. Debra was very accommodating providing a baby cot and high chair. She is a very lovely lady and so responsive with any questions or concerns Location was just what we were looking for. Quite off of a main street. Close to small town for any needed supplies. Convenient location from Ring of Kerry and Dingle Peninsula. Would highly recommend this home.

We were only here one night but wished we could have stayed longer. The host was lovely and provided several special touches for us. The home was perfect. The home is a bit outside of Killarney but we were able to spend some time in the park and town (worth the drive in our opinion). Again, we loved this home and leg of our journey!

Home away from home
This comfy home offers an off-the-beaten-path feel with proximity to groceries and attractions. We spent a day driving The Ring of Kerry, had a meal or two in Killorglin, and even drove through a bit of the Kilarney National Park. Debra is a fascinating host and traveler. She responded to our questions quickly, greeted us with a warm welcome, provided valuable travel tips, and entertained us with a few of her own travel stories. She is delightful! There were 4 of us traveling together and this home was plenty spacious (we only used 2 of the 3 bedrooms.) We enjoyed visiting with each other in the living room with the crackle of a wood fire burning in the background. We also appreciated being able to wash our laundry while we enjoyed a family style breakfast around the large kitchen table. The views out the windows were of beautiful, green country-side. Such a relaxing place!

Lovely stay in this charming cottage. Arrived day before Easter to find a beautiful pie waiting for us, along with milk and butter and bread. So appreciated. Cottage is absolutely charming, in a rural setting, felt peaceful and comfortable. Very cosy. Wish we had more than one night here. It was the most relaxing of our trip. Would definitely stay here again.
