DON’T STAY HERE.
This is the first time in the 5 years that I’ve been using hotels.com that I have to leave a terrible review for a hotel, but here it is nonetheless.
The good: Staff. Front desk was quick and friendly, and the housekeeping folks were so nice.
The bad: it’s To say that this place has been neglected in an understatement. I’m not talking about the “dated decor” that people like to complain about. Give me a clean comfy bed and decent shower and I’m good to go. Housekeeping does their best to keep everything clean, but the carpets are in poor condition, wallpaper peeling off the walls, and the beds are hard and lumpy. It took my back a week to recover and stop hurting. There are a lot of crappy places to stay, but this was the worst. I don’t remember the last time I stayed in a hotel or motel that didn’t offer a fridge or microwave in the room, nor any kind of breakfast in the morning. I was there for 4 nights, and having to throw away leftovers because I could neither keep them cold or heat them up. Another note, and this is a safety issue: the concrete on the upstairs balcony is cracking and heaving. It looks like they’ve tried to patch it, but a cheap solution on a second floor balcony looking out to the courtyard is as bad as none at all. The integrity of that balcony is compromised and is UNSAFE. Even the Adobe Inn is a step up from this place. Find somewhere else to stay.
