“Essex,s Best”

Me and my sister, enjoyed the stay. i was close to visit my brother and there was a crab shack next door, Marylands best crab cakes!!!

“Worth Staying”

Overall I was completely satisfied with the hotel for the price. The room was clean and comfortable. I had concerns about the distance from the Inner Harbour but was delighted to find it was only a short 15 minute drive. My only compliant is the location does not have a wide variety of food selection. It was mostly fast food restaurants.

“Middle River”

Hotel was clean and employees very nice. After check-in, I called the front desk to see about getting an iron. They were all given out for the night. Not really a big deal. I had a funeral the next day, so taking a couple extra minutes to iron a dress shirt in the morning was no big deal. When calling the front desk the next morning, there were still none to be found. I was a little concerned when the front desk clerk said that she would have to wait till her manager was out of a meeting and then get back to me. I was starting to panic. I even checked with the house keeping staff working on that floor. A very polite woman said that she was on the look out for an iron. About 15 minutes later I heard a knock at the door, and that same lady had found and iron and delivered it to me. I was extremely pleased and able to iron my shirt and be on time for the funeral. I would suggest that when making a reservation here, that you mention that you will need an iron, rather than waiting until check in.

“MORE THAN EXPECTED”

While it seemed to be a little bit off the beaten path, we were very surprised at the size and appearance of both the room and the bathroom. Better than hotels at twice the price. Since we were there only one night, we were not able to sample all of the things involved with a stay. For sure, we were not disappointed!

“Nice Little Surprise!”

This was a very nice hotel! The staff was very helpful. The amenities were sufficient and the breakfast was a big hit. I would highly reccommend this hotel to any traveler looking for a nice, quiet, peaceful place to stay. Paulette D. Nashville, TN.

“Great service and very accomodating.”

I was given a non-smoking room that had obviously been smoked in by the last occupant. After 30 minutes of trying to air it out, I went to speak to the staff on duty and they immediately upgraded my room to a suite with no additional cost. I was given a courtesy call a few minutes later to make sure that everything was to my standard. My wife and I travel a lot and this is the first time that I didn't have to put on the executive (or HBCU) hat to resolve a conflict.

they didnt have Irons in the room.desk clerk said they havent returned, and didnt know when they would. also lock on the door didnt work, and there wasnt enough towels or wash clothes in the room.

“room suited it's purpose”

The room was clean and close to some resturants. It's always good when the Air conditioner works and it did, However the water pressure in the shower didn't seem to be very strong.

“Not too shabby...great for the budget-minded”

The only reason I gave a three on condition and upkeep is because the beds were rather uncomfortable and need replaced (my back is still screaming). The hotel itself was well-kept and the employees very pleasant. The breakfast was just your basics (cereal both hot and cold, danishes and bagels, coffee and juice) but was enough for me and my children. Note - Stay away from the seafood place on the corner. The drive in to Inner Harbor was pretty much a straight shot. The hotel was easy to find and was not "scary" at all. My only other complaint was that customers of the restaurant parked in hotel parking lot. Not cool.
