Not a place I desire to go back to
Where to begin? Let's start with disappointed. We booked lodging only to find out, when we arrive the day prior that management pictures and many details are either false or misleading. They even tried to charge us double what we had booked on Expedia. They ended up putting us up in a broken down trailer. Some of the amenities of this travel trailer were dirty outside trailer walls. We were greeted by a flat tire on this trailer. Inside looked clean. But upon inspection, we found two of the window blinds were broken and would not close. The propane gas oven would not work. The sofa was busted and a very sharp metal spring would stick you, you know where, when you tried to sit. The “FREE WIFI” was a lie. Instead you have to pay more money, to a company called Camp link and they charge $5.00 for a day. Our wifi connection was so poor it had the speed of an old dial up. That is when it was on. And ours went down every few minutes. Cost us an extra $15.00 for our 3 days there If you need anything in the evening or on the weekends. Forget about it. The office closes at 5PM and is closed on Saturday AND Sunday. The property we stayed on and their other property across the street looked like it was 75 to 80% empty. The third property we never saw. Maybe that is where all the nice things they say they have like the pool tables, indoor fireplace and the picnic tables and grills? Overall our experience at this campground, 3 nights in June of 2016, was less than desirable.

Great location in central Florida.
Visiting family who were in same park. Very clean accommodations upon arrival. Could use some updating, i.e. sofa. Close to many sightseeing options, I.e. Disney, Universal, Sea World, especially the delightful Mt. Dora, which is a lovely lakeside town full of shops and dining options.

Good Value for Wedding Party
The staff is really nice. The air conditioning works WONDERFULLY! We were a group of 11 people (wedding party) and this worked out GREAT! 1295 Sunshine Drive is new and we used it as a family compound and had a lot of family enjoyment time with meals and games. The other two units were ok and fit the purpose. The pool area kept the teenagers happy. This was a great alternative to the Lakeside Inn at Mount Dora for our family wedding at a THIRD of what it would have cost to stay in Mount Dora. We also were able to cook and eat together as PUBLIX is across the street. If you are low maintenance this is a nice quiet safe place to do a family event cheaper than Mt. Dora. It is a bit rough but for two nights to keep all 11 of us together we were THRILLED with the VALUE for what we received. The staff works limited hours so if you need something special or want to talk to them, best to do it on a weekday before 4 pm. I found them very easy to work with.
