Fair Haven Vacations
Fair Haven is located approximately 100 miles (161 kilometers) away from Manchester and about 110 miles (177 kilometers) from Springfield.
It's a missed chance if you limit your tour to the points of interest in Fair Haven because the entire region has been blessed with an abundance of terrific cities, attractions and landscapes. If you are looking for more things to see and do, head to the Vermont State Fairgrounds and Pine Hill Park in and around Rutland, which lays 15 miles (24 kilometers) to the west of Fair Haven.
Lake George, is another interesting spot to discover. It is around 25 miles (40 kilometers) from Fair Haven and offers a great selection of things to see and do, such as Lake George Steamboat Company, Wild West Ranch and Western Town and Lake George Forum. Make sure you don't head back to Fair Haven until you've stopped by Lake George's Lake George Battlefield Park, Fort William Henry and Prospect Mountain.
If you tend to slow down while you are on vacation, Central Vermont has some good options that will suit you, such as cycling and shore fishing. The Fair Haven region is a good destination to get outside and enjoy the invigorating embrace of winter. When the temperature falls, grab your mittens and scarf and try cross-country skiing or snow shoeing.
Sadly, vacations can't last forever, so when it's time return home, head to the nearest major airport in Rutland, 17 miles (27 kilometers) to the east.
