This charming home features the original kitchen sink of the home that was renovated from the 1930’s and paint, wall paper, lighting, doors, and windows are in keeping with the era. These little details add to the historical feel, while still enjoying the modern features of a quality vacation rental. A/C unit keeps you cool during the hot and smokey summer days! Sleeps 2.

Home away from home
The accommodations were comfortable and the location was very convenient, being in the downtown area. Walking distance to the shops and the Thai House across the street was delicious. Host came by a couple times to put gravel on the walk. Overall a very enjoyable and comfortable stay.

Hostess with the mostest! KA was a gracious host, ferried us around and made awesome suggestions to make our month in Fairbanks a success. She stayed in touch but also let us explore on our own. Loved this little property and thought her larger residence will be perfect for our "next trip". Very knowledgable of the area. Perfect vacation for us.

The little home was adorable and communication with the host was easy! Loved the easy access of location and appreciated how well maintained the host keeps it during the snowy season for those who are not as used to snow.

Cozy house with a wonderful host
Even before we arrived in Fairbanks, Kathy had sent lots of useful information about Fairbanks and the house. Plus while we were there, she was always available for questions and suggestions, and even came into town to look at a TV issue (user error on our part). The house itself is very cozy and thoughtfully decorated. A lot of raven touches, without being cutesy. A nice combination of the history of the house and modern comforts. Comfortably bed and living room sofas. It's a tiny kitchen, but it is clean and everything works and it is stocked with enough kitchenware to cook meals. The location is amazing. It is right downtown, but very quiet. It it not been so icy (unusual October weather), it would have been in easy walking distance of at least a dozen restaurants, a lot of public art, a couple of museums, the river, shops, etc. There is a nice private parking area behind the house, in case the REALLY local restaurants have used up the street spaces.

Great Spot to Explore Fairbanks
We had a great stay in Fairbanks. There was a lot to do and great places to eat within walking distance. We also explored further out. This cute and cozy cabin was tucked right into the middle of downtown and was a great place to stay.

Perfect!!
