From Fengyi, it's 6 miles (10 kilometers) to the northeast to Beijing and 70 miles (113 kilometers) to the southeast to Tianjin.
When it comes to getting the best out of your time here, it's worth keeping in mind that Fengyi is just the tip of the iceberg; Ngawa Autonomous Prefecture features an abundance of natural sights, cities and towns. Tianzhu and Xiaotangshan are two more places worth checking out while you're in Ngawa Autonomous Prefecture.
Beijing, is another interesting spot to visit. It is about 6 miles (10 kilometers) from Fengyi and offers a wide range of points of interest, for example South Cathedral, Prince Gong's Palace and Ditan Park. Temple of Confucius, Malls at Oriental Plaza and Big Bell Temple are just a few of the other attractions in Beijing.
Very often, the difference between being a real traveler and a mere tourist is a basic grasp of language, so be sure to practice a few handy Mandarin phrases before you go. A good example of a hand local sentence is "Nǐ yào bú yào gēn wǒ tiàowǔ" (Would you like todance with me?). Or try "Zhèiwèi xiānsheng huì qīngdān" (This gentleman/lady will pay for everything).
When it is time to depart from Fengyi, use your last renminbi on last-minute souvenirs and bid a fond Zàijiàn (farewell).
