Nice hotel, surrounding area buildings had alot of graffiti and trash. Did not feel safe to be off grounds.

The property itself was fine and well lit. The surrounding area looked deserted and dark. Had to leave out at 4:00am. Didn’t really feel that safe going to my car.

I had an issue with room access because the battery of the locker ran out at midnight when I returned to the room. It took more than an hour to get new batteries. The front desk informed me that they issued me credit due to this issue, and I received a hard copy of the updated receipt with a reduced price when I checked out. However, I noticed that the original price was still charged.

this was a nice property, nice rooms, and very convenient however the front desk person who handled our arrival was rude and unfriendly

The hotel was great, they thought of everything in terms of amenities. The area is sketchy but it was fine. Dont let the surroundings deter you.

Clean, comfortable, quiet
The Holiday Inn Express Flint-Campus Area exceeded all expectation in every category. The room was VERY clean and quiet, the bed was comfortable, water pressure, bathroom fixtures, etc. were quite good. The breakfast area was spacious and clean.

Krystal was so nice at check-in. She made a fresh pot of coffee, recommended a very nice place to eat and have a drink and was overall just so friendly. Our room was clean and nice.

I had booked a two queen bed and was given a king with a pull out couch. Upon questioning this, as we had 4 guest I was told that I was out of luck and the king room was more expensive so basically I should be happy. I understand that it was a busy night and it was evident that they were having trouble as some people were given rooms which were already occupied but I think they could have handled the situation better. An apology would have been helpful as I am positive sleeping on a pull out couch that doesn’t really fit in the room (yes we had to rearrange furniture) isn’t an upgrade. Not to mention I needed to attend the front desk again as the bedding for the pull out couch never arrived.

I am truly sorry this happened while you stayed with us. We are transitioning with new staff however you should have been spoken to properly. I sincerely apologize, We typically are not supposed to alter a third party reservation instead of turning you away she put you in a different room and she should have communicated that with you.

We drove up the parking lot was trash weeds are growing up all over the building. The front door was smeared with fingerprints everywhere. It looks so trashy. We did not even get the room.

Breakfast was amazing! I've been to other hotels and have never seen several options, as well as consistently resupplying food when it ran out, compared to this Holiday Inn. I had breakfast several times at this hotel this past week, and was always satisfied. In fact, that was one of the deciding factors of choosing this Holiday Inn over other local hotels. The only complaint I really have was not having a Do Not Disturb sign ready in the rooms I've stayed in; I booked this hotel twice in a week, and both times, no Do Not Disturb signs were visible within the room. I usually had to go to the front desk to get a sign.

The hotel is overall nice but in a scary neighborhood. Staffs need to listen to customer service. I had to speak to 5 times to 5 different people to fix my room toilet. I literally had to beg for changing room from ground floor to upper level because I did not feel safe . The front desk lady was not paying attention and after 1st day she looked otherway whenever she saw me. Other staffs were nice and cooperative.with minor issues the hotel itself is okay.

Check in was awful
The hotel was clean and comfortable, but had some issues with check in. When I arrived for my stay, there was 2 people ahead of me and I waited for more than 20 minutes. The next morning, I booked a room at the front desk for my co-worker. I provided them with my credit card information and indicated that I wanted to cover a room for my co-worker on our company card. Simple enough. However, that night when we arrived exhausted after working for 10 hours, there were about 5 people in line and the same woman was working. I told my co-worker he would be in for a wait, and headed upstairs to shower. 30 minutes later I learned that once he finally got to the desk to check in, the woman working turned him away saying he had to pay for his own room. I came downstairs, waited another 15 minutes, and then spoke to her and finally worked it all out. I noticed this hotel is doing everything on pieces of paper which may be part of the confusion. I also want to say that the lady working the front desk was very nice but she needed more training before being left alone during busy check in times.
