If you’re looking for a 5-star hotel, this isn’t the place, but if like me, you just want somewhere comfortable and clean to sleep and freshen up, you won’t find any better for the price. Can’t complain about anything really.

i’ve stayed at close to 100 hotels in all my travels and this is by far the worst hotel i’ve ever been to. I honestly wanted our vacation to just be over early so we could get out of this hotel. We booked a larger room that said it included 3 bed, we got 1. They refused to move us to a larger room despite that being what we booked. The hotel is dirty, the room is tiny and broken down, and the staff is extremely rude. A cleaner broke one of the glass tables in our while cleaning and the hotel manager insisted that we pay €50 for it. I tried to argue that we shouldn’t have to pay for what their employee broke but they forced us to pay and were extremely hostile from that point on. We requested no more room cleaning for the rest of our stay since we no longer trusted them in our room and they still came into our room 3 times. The person cleaning the rooms was also restocking the breakfast bar in between cleaning rooms and the lobby but i didn’t see her wash her hands or put on gloves once. There was also gnats all over the food so we chose not to eat there. Save yourself and stay far away from this hotel.

High price for what you get
There are two 22/A number in the street which is confusing, this should be explained in advance to avoid confusion. After 30 min going around, we phoned the hotel and the reception came and find us, he was our angel. The price was too high compare to the service and condition of the hotel. The furniture's in the hotel was lovely, very nice old style but the mattress were very soft. Room toilet was clean but floor in the room need more attention. The staff were very friendly and nice.

The front desk was very gracious and the strength of Hotel Galileo. That said, I don't think the photos on Expedia were representative of what the facility actually looks like in-person. While the bathroom was very clean, the actual room itself was very old and could benefit from a significant refresh. Also, although laundry facility is advertised, this is not accurate as front desk referred us to an outside public laundromat, instead.

A bit depressing but clean and well located
Small dark room - family room had 4 single beds squished together & was very dark. WiFi didn’t work. Tv was good though with Netflix etc. ok for one night but no longer as felt a bit like a prison. Staff were lovely.

This is our second visit to Florence, and our second stay at Hotel Galileo. We found it to be within convenient walking distance of most sites of interest, as well as the rail station. No doubt there are closer hotels, but not at this price point! We welcomed our air-conditioned room on the super hot afternoons we experienced. One hint - there is a very nice coin laundry less than a block away.

Our family room was very big with plenty of space. Breakfast was good however the area was small. You book a time to eat which was fine by us. They will store your luggage if you arrive early or leaving late.

The hotel has a bit of wear on it but is in a great location, walkable to all major sites. The staff was friendly and helpful. It was a bit disconcerting to have to call down to the desk to get them to adjust the AC, but we were grateful we had it!

Handy for station and the historic centre
This was a good location, and easy to find from the station. Receptionist and other staff were friendly, very welcoming, and helpful. It was good to have a fridge in the room, but more power points would be useful, and a hand towel would be nice. I had trouble reaching the safe and the towel rail, as they were quite high!. Overall, I was happy with the room and the hotel, but felt it was overpriced

We came to the property and waited out for long time ringing doorbell, finally realised no one inside in the reception. Then we had to call the number to get instructions. This was not at all explained anywhere!!!! Room was like cave converted to bedroom, bedroom and bathroom has same floor!!!! We found that the water was leaking from the bathroom floor and the room was closer, we messaged the hotel team to help. Really rude and unhelpful, not even ready to come and check, we ended up there, having no options One word for this is disgusting and poor poor poor customer service
