So perfect it’s hard to describe, how clean and immaculate this place was. The staff were amazing too. Air conditioning worked perfectly. So close to Ponte Vecchio and the view of the Arno River from our room was spectacular. Thanks for making our 20th year anniversary so much better, my kids loved the sofa beds. We loved the coffee as well, having a fridge is a bonus. Every single detail during our stay was covered.

Lovely accommodation in a good location
Great accommodation - nicely decorated, comfortable and spacious. Helpful front desk and good central location just south of the river and the very heart of Florence. A little noisy but to be expected being central and surrounded by bars.

Challenges
Quite difficult to check in - there are two gates to negotiate and then a certain amount of ‘insider knowledge’ required. Not ideal if you have a late evening arrival. Otherwise all good: fine location just off the river; friendly reception; big well-appointed rooms.

Modern accommodations in ancient Florence
Good location, near river and center of town. Breakfast was ample and with pleasant service. Interesting old building - Residenza occupied street level. Security was good. Rooms are modern with AC and WiFi. Interesting note: rooms aren’t numbered - they are color-coded! Only complaint was that desk is not staffed continually, so they requested exact time of arrival be provided beforehand.

Great location for visiting Florence
Great location 10 minutes walk from the duomo and not overly touristy. Strongly recommend to those who want to be close to everything but dont want to be in tourist traps.

Room Disappointed.
Disappointed on arrival, having booked a Superior room a while ago as part of our wedding anniversary trip, to be told there was a plumbing problem, although throughout our stay there was evident occupation of all the rooms by other guests coming and going, so we suspect a double booking. This coloured our impression of our stay in Florence and we don't feel in a hurry to return. The staff WERE friendly, and full of helpful info about the area, gave us a bottle of wine to compensate, albeit in looking, not a premium one, Breakfast is minimal, Safe in the room is useful, the area is not far from all attractions The building is secure Bathroom well-equipped but shower stall extremely small. Photos of the property on site a little misleading as the garden shot shown is not accessible to guests, it's only available to apartments lived in in the block. Sign up saying private, keep out. Very small '' courtyard" with view of sky around eight floors above.. Into which all air conditioning units expel.

This was a guest room with bathroom - one of maybe 5 in the place. It was basic, but comfortable and had everything we needed the a/c and wifi worked well and breakfast was provided. Our host gave us some good tips for the limited time we had in Florence. Having wifi or cellular service is very important for check in, since there isn't staff on site.

Great location
The location of this hotel is fantastic, we were able to walk to everything in Florence and didn't take a taxi, uber or public transit once. The room was a bit dark (only 1 window) and noisy from neighbors (not others in the hotel), but it was very clean and spacious. The shower was very small, but had a nice shower head and hot water. I would definitely stay here again!

It's not really a hotel but 5 rooms on the first floor of an old building. When we arrived there was nobody to let us in. We had to wait 40 minutes fof someone to show up. Room was dark and smelled of cigarette.

Hotel is acceptable. Staff are very nice, pleasant and helpful. Unfortunately the hotel has limited to no natural light because of location and the showers are very small, especially for someone my size of 6ft 2. Wifi is good and So is the location, the accommodation is only a ten min walk from Ponte Vecchio. Overall acceptable.

Wonderfully Romantic!
If you want to stay within walking distance of the main tourist areas of Florence but are looking for a better value, this is your hotel. It is in a secluded and extremely old building just across the river in Florence. Great food and shopping as well as the main attractions. The room was expansive and had 15-20' ceilings with a wonderful fresco painting on it. The windows look out into the private garden (not accessible with your reservation) and the bathroom was large. There are two factors you may want to consider, however, before making the reservation. There is not a 24 hour desk attendant. You will need to coordinate the arrival, mostly around 3pm. Also, there is no included parking. There are paid options close by; we used the recommendation from the desk clerk and we were happy with the service, although it was an additional charge. The bus system is very convenient if you are looking to explore the areas outside of the normal walking attractions. Also, the access to the room required opening the massive door from the street (probably a few hundred years old), a gate and then the door to the first floor. THEN you had access to the room. All of these are with physical keys, not electronic credit card type keys. Overall, this was an amazing, romantic room in a fabulous city. We will probably stay again upon our return.

This is a great little hotel. The location is what attracted to the hotel as it is very convenient for sightseeing and lots of local restaurants and bars. The friendly service was great and can not be faulted as we were really made welcome. The room was very comfortable and we both slept well. The breakfast was good. I'd stay again.

Nice spot in Florence out of the Tourist Centre
We enjoyed our stay in Florence and Simone was really welcoming and helpful during check-in. The location is great, close to the main tourist area but far enough away that you can explore the local streets and find lots of great restaurants. 20mins walk with suitcases from the Train Station. We dined locally most nights and they were all really good. We had the Orange Room and it was very cosy. It could use a few minor things like some extra hooks, towel rails in the bathroom. Maybe somewhere to sit in the room instead of the desk. The layout is a bit different essentially all rooms open up onto the central breakfast area. If you're wanting a relaxing sleep-in this probably isn't the place as you have people getting served breakfast directly behind the wall at your bed head. It was fine for us, we used earplugs and were up most days by 7:30-8:00am anyway. The large internal entrance doors / courtyard area also creates a lot of noise but it's very secure, 3 sets of doors to get to your room. Breakfast was basic but good, fresh OJ, machine coffee and a selection of pastries / cereal. Enough to the start the day or just grab the drink and head out.

Well-located, lovely hotel
This is a lovely little hotel. We were made to feel very welcome and free breakfast was great. The area it is in is close to major sites, within easy walking distance, but also sufficiently away from the centre that prices in local restaurants and bars seemed pretty good. The selection of restaurants nearby was excellent. I'd recommend the hotel and would go back to stay again.

The staff was very friendly. The rooms were impeccably clean! The location was fantastic - close enough that we could walk everywhere but far enough that the restaurants were less expensive (and more delicious!). Breakfast every morning consisted of cappuccinos, croissants, fresh squeezed orange juice, and many other delicious options. I would highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Florence!

Nice no frills hotel for budget travelers
I booked this hotel based on many positive reviews it received on Tripadvisor and here. Our room was on the first floor. The room was spacious, with very strong AC, although Wi-Fi was only OK. The bathroom was large, but we had two issues with it: the mirror on the bathroom wall fell when I tried to tweak it and it took us a while to affix it back on the wall, as it was large, heavy and cumbersome. And secondly, the shower in this room is absolutely tiny. Yes, most budget European hotels have small showers, but this was the smallest I have encountered yet, in all my 3 years of traveling throughout Europe, from Portugal to Czech Republic. If you turn or bend a little too fast, you will either hit a door or turn off the shower. It may be spacious enough for a cat or dog, but not for an average human. The breakfast, which was included for free, was cold. In other words, nothing cooked - just croissants, coffee and a few other desserts, bread and a limited choice of yogurts. The hotel hostess gave us a map of Florence, circling the major sites and providing us with basic info. The location of the hotel is not central, but is still in a nice area, with eateries, bars and some nightlife in the area and only some 15 mins walk from all the sites and activities in the center (Florence is compact and everything is within walking distance). All in all, it was a nice stay, but nothing spectacular. Would recommend it to budget travelers.

Ten minute walk from the train station and from the main historical sites and cathedrals in the city centre. Lots of restaurants nearby. The room was spacious, bed was comfortable and shower amazing. Breakfast was served by staff and they were very helpful and friendly.

Very friendly staff. No hotel reception area 24x7, but is on call via phone. The walls/door carries sounds easily. But, they have freshly made orange juice, coffee, cappuccino, expressly, large croissants and other pastries, yogurt, cereals. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful, offering a map and discussing each of the many sites to visit (and hot to get there).

Nice Accommodations in the Oltrarno
We stayed at Al Numero 8 for 5 nights. The red room (Tosca) was beautifully decorated, roomy, and the shower was very nice. There was a nice view of the garden through the window. Our room was clean and quiet (despite a lot of street noise) throughout our stay. A water kettle is provided in room, along with a few packets of tea. Although the weather was hot during our stay, the room stayed quite cool. The location was excellent; it was in the Oltrarno but close to the bridge and maybe a 10-15ish minute walk from Santa Maria Novella train station. This part of town is lively in the evenings. The breakfast was basic (croissants, packaged cakes, yogurt) but was accompanied by fresh coffee or juice. Staff is present only in the morning. Overall, our stay at Al Numero 8 was comfortable and was a good base for exploring Florence.

Hidden gem
This is a hidden gem. Beautifully decorated rooms. Freshly squeezed orange juice with breakfast. The host was very accommodating and even printed out some documents I had forgotton for a trip. On the south of the river and not so touristy. Do not attempt to drive into Florence. There are lots of restricted zones. We parked our hire car at the airport and got the bus into the centre.

a small hotel on the other side of Arno.
Being a little away from the main tourist area, but still very near to everything, this very small hotel is very quiet, the interior decoration is tasteful and artistic. We stayed in the big "Tosca" Red room with the authentic 17th century fresco on the ceiling. The garden featured in the hotel is actually not available for the guest - the picture is a bit misleading.. The main drawback is the fact that the personnel is not present at the hotel all the time, which requires to coordinate your arrival by phone or e-mail - an inconvenience if you are on the road.

A home away from home.
We stayed one night in this lovely hotel which has a beautiful terrace and friendly staff. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. They supplied beautiful linens and it reminded me of staying at Grandma's house - and being well taken care of. They offered breakfast in the terrace for a reasonable fee and the hotel is located just moments from the main attractions. I would highly recommend this hotel!
