Old Florida motel which has been upgradedPosted Aug 2, 2015
Stayed 2 nights with 2 days in between. Very enjoyable both times. Some ant problems in bathroom but there had been a lot of rain. Only one wastebasket both times. It was a recycle basket so one more would have been helpful. Overall a super place to stay. Has been good over the years and it has improved as a Guy Harvey resort.

Nice Family HotelPosted Aug 1, 2015
Great room and location next to the beach. Easy to find with a very large sign outside. Staff were great, helpfully and pleasant. Bar prices and food at the Grill were a little too expensive, particularly as the room had a fridge and excellent cooking facilities. If they were cheaper, we would have used them in preference.

Wonderful accommodations on the oceanPosted Jul 30, 2015
Pros: The private porch was so nice in the evening.
Cons: More towels available, especially in morning when heading down to the beach. Food was a bit pricey.
Location: We only left twice- to walk across the street to a local restaurant for dinner/drinks/sunset.
This resort is the type of place where you never need to leave. Our room wasn't ready when we arrived (early) so we had rum runners at the oceanfront bar/restaurant to get us into the Islamorada mood. Everything in the Keys is so lovely & to be staying at the Islander was wonderful. The rooms are clean & spacious, & each includes a private screened in porch! Off of the porch were 2 lounge chairs, picnic tale & grill. There's a full kitchen in every room. Continental breakfast was included with our room rate. You can add more breakfast items for a fee. We rented a canopy (10x10') for the day for shade all day long. Plenty of water sport rentals available. 2 pools- fresh & saltwater. We were lucky enough to come on a Sunday when they had their all inclusive pig roast. This place is great!

comfortable accommodations in a beautiful settingPosted Jul 18, 2015
Cons: Towels and more umbrellas at pool side. Additional ice machines.
Location: Location only a little over an hour from Miami, dining, fishing, art galleries, spas, Theatre of the Sea (swim with do dolphins) jet ski etc.
Enjoyed comfortable accommodations with beautiful setting. Sunned, swam, fished, boated and eat in paradise.

Really nice little hotel, well taken care of.Posted Jul 14, 2015
Love everything about this hotel. The staff at the front desk were helpful and pleasant. The room was very clean with a beachy feeling and a screen in porch. Outside each porch there are lounge chairs were you can relax if you don't want to go to the pool or the beach. There are several hammocks and grills throughout the property for your enjoyment. A mile away from the hotel there is a little grocery store "The Trading Post" were we got amazing steaks and delicious key lime pie. At night you can walk to the beach and gaze at the beautiful sky. My family had an amazing stay! Also there is a continental breakfast included: cereal, pastries and fresh fruit, you can upgrade it for $8 to a hot breakfast. I can't wait to go back.

Great Experience!Posted Jul 9, 2015
Pros: Can't say enough good things! LOVED it!
Location: We went to Robbie's, The Sunset Grill (just before the 7 mile bridge)... LOVED that place!! Highly recommend the food! We also went down to Key West!
Very pleased with the check-in process... We were surprised at how cute and clean our room was. SUPER loved the screened in porch that lead to the beach. LOVED the hammocks... picnic tables too! All the little extras made our stay so much more enjoyable. We have already recommended this place to our friends!

One of the best choices in the Keys!Posted Jul 9, 2015
This is one of the nicest places that I have stayed in the Keys! A lot of the hotels are old and run down. this place was so nice and clean. cold ac. love the proximity to the beach and two nice pools. the restaurant was a bit expensive. I would've liked a room closer to the beach but considering we got a great deal on the price, I won't complain too much. There were unexpected charges (taxes) when we checked out. the rooms could've been a little bit bigger but loved that we had a refrigerator and little kitchen. each room has a porch which is nice. all in all I would definately recommend.

Pros: Had a small kitchen with fridge and stove
Great place for a family. 2 pools, a dock to fish from and close to plenty of activities. Only negative is that there is not a beach to swim. There is a roped off area to swim in the ocean, but the beach is rocky...the water didn't look very good to swim in.
