Got there to check in to find out it was closed from hurricane Irma.had phone number posted to find out it was not in service.spent hours finding another hotel that cost twice as much .can't get a hold of anyone for a refund..not good business.not happy.got bundle roundtrip airfare and hotel thru expedia.com..keep getting put on hold.

We arrived at the hotel to find it closed and damaged beyond repair There was no staff on duty and no electricity, the signs and awnings were gone I was never notified by Expedia or the motel that it was closed. It took me three hours to find a place to stay at three times the rate i had booked with Bahia cabana

Bad hotel great location
There was paint chipping off the walls, ants in the bathroom, rats outside, the air conditioning did not cool the room even at its lowest setting. Very disappointed.

Close to the beach and marina
It was ok the location was excellent but the hotel needs a lot of upgrades,but you can't beat that price very affordable .the beach is across the street that was amazing

Mini family sun and swim vacay!
At first seeing the check in desk, it was a little sketchy but very pleased with the double bed kitchenette room 501. When first walking in, there was a fantastic clean smell and it was bright, clean and spacious. The cable tv and telephone didn't work but we weren't there to watch tv and so we just hooked up our ipads with Netflix when we did. Staff were always friendly and courteous and quick to resolve any issue. Breakfast at the restaurant was delicious and our server Mary was awesome! Jeff was so helpful and nice at checking us in too. The buildings are old but kept clean and it was so nice to just walk 3 minutes across the road to the beach or 1 minute to our resort pool which had a neat outside covered bar. The ground/maintence man was so quick to help us out with plumbing issues and didn't complain when we had to call him back again ( our fault not his lol)

THIS HOTEL IS NOT ON THE BEACH
WE WERE TOLD THIS HOTEL WAS ON THE BEACH AND THAT WE WOULD HAVE A BEACH VIEW NOTHING LIKE IT IS ADVERTISED. ROOMS ARE SMALL AND NOT SO CLEAN. BAR IS RIGHT OUTSIDE OF ROOM SO YOUR HEAR MUSIC UNTIL ALMOST 2AM

Absolutely disgusting
This hotel is OLD! From the moment you enter the lobby you are greeted with an old musty smell. The carpet in the room smells and the shower was chipped and had mildew. The furniture looked like it was purchased at a garage sale. I immediately called Expedia to get a refund and they quickly found another hotel for us.

For the secret hotel.com price ( 50% off) it still wasn't worth it..Tiny room, cracked/ chipped shower tiles and fixtures. Permanently stained towels & wash clothes. Room door didn't seal; gap of 2 inches along lower side and bottom..Hotel lobby had no air; very hot and uncomfortable just waiting to check in..Ceiling by front desk leaking..Hotel is really in need of a major makeover..Across the street from beach which was nice. Hotel bar happy hour okay, but food was expensive and either under or over cooked. Sits on Marina; nice yachts..

Flop House, maybe if you are taking a cruise ship.
There is not enough good to outweigh the bad. First room - safe didn't work, couldn't be fixed, no towels. phone broken. Second room (different bldg) - cable tv and phone out in bldg. In the kitchenette - NO plates or dishes, 2 forks and 1 spoon. 1 glass. Beds were as old as I am.

It was not good but we didn't have a choice. It was after 11 pm and it was too late to look for something else. The room was old the pool was dirty the location of rooms was bad, too much noise around. After staying there I found couple of bites on me. So I assume that there was something.... wouldn't be back for sure!

Great location!! fun to take the water taxi and be dropped off right back at the hotel. Beach directly across the street. great staff at the tiki on the premises..especially Tim. He called us all by name and provided great service.

Room 503 Phone and TV didn't World. One bed had a huge hole in the middle. Bathroom needs a refurbishment urgently. The room is very far firm the lobby. Bolt pro is the locación.

The only positive about this stay was Angel, the front desk clerk, and Max in the restaurant, otherwise the room had chipped paint an upside down door and took 3 flushes for everything. cannot see the beach from anywhere on property, did not honor 40% off for happy hour and dont even get me started about the $15 street parking that is not even gauranteed actually got into an arguement with the valet because when parking wasent available at our building, wanted us to park in a dirt lot or down the street. Housekeeping didnt even acknowledge our good morning greetings, pool area was down and doesn't look anything like the pictures.

Nice Vacations
Staff reception girls are excellent, the hotel structure is old but is in acceptable conditions for its age. Just in front of the beach across the street and you can walk to all stores and touristic attractions near by. No need to take your car out. This was a good choice for our vacations. Thank you Bahia Cabana :)

Worst hotel to stay at on Fort Lauderdale Beach
The hotel is nothing what the pictures look like,I am a college student on a drinking trip to ft lauderdale beach and we werent looking for anything fancy but this place was gross and the customer service was horrible!!! Not only were most of the people who work at the front desk including the "manager" were beyond rude and had zero customer service skills;but also the front desk/ "lobby" has no air and is musky. Then you walk to the pool and the pretty fountain in the pics is broken and just sits there broken and the pool is so cloudy and dirty you cant see the bottom.We then ventured to the room which wasnt horrible but not worth $100 a night.The maid service does not exist either, all they did was come in and make the bed and spray air freshener! I found previous guests hair balls in the corner of the room and I went to the desk and asked why I didnt get new mini bottles of shampoo and the woman looked at me like I was stupid and said "umm you need to ask for that?!" I have never had to ask for that at any hotel not even at a motel! I was so beyond upset with everything after my stay and I was trying to check out and the manager tried to charge me for two cars meanwhile I only brought 1 and he told me i was lying and that "Its easy to drive one of the other cars away"excuse me?! Honestly Ive never experienced such horrible customer service and I expected some sort of accommodatio for the horrible service and they could careless about their customers or fixing their mistake

In very poor condition.
A wonderful location but the hotel is in very rough shape. Our room was very shabby. It might have been clean but it was hard to see past how old and crappy the furniture was. Looked like everything was found abandoned on the side of the road. Wore flip flops in the Getty shower and cringed the whole time I was in it. Avoid this hotel.

My fav little get away
You have to overlook some of the visual flaws of an older facility to really enjoy breathtaking views, outside bars and restaurants, accessibility by boat, friendly staff, and ideal location to both the ocean and intercoastal. If you plan to spend your time outdoors by the poolside or beach, this is a great place!

A great location but a three night stay included three fuzzy channels that counted as cable, flickering lights, a cockroach and a pair of dirty socks left in the closet that weren't ours! Spend the extra $20 bucks and stay up the road. Besides, it will cost you an extra $15 a night in parking!

Had great time great bar and restaraunt beach across street 10 minute walk to drift fishing boat 15 minute walk to the strip other restaraunts in walking distance no car needed. There was an airshow Sat and Sun nice surprise best trip to Florida yet.

Room was outdated but clean. I stayed in the double bed with kitchen but it didn't have a microwave. I had to ask three times for a microwave before I received one. Two outlet had burned and were still there. Water does have a yellow tint to it, kinda weird. Hotel was located right across from park and marina so that was a plus. TV cable consists of only 6 channels. Overall for location it was ok but needs serious updating.Parking costs and there is no free parking anywhere around hotel.

High Expectations, Unexpected Stay.
Initially, we were very excited to stay at the Bahia Cabana Beach Resort. The pictures made it look like it had been well maintained over the years and would be a great beach hotel. Plus, it offered an extremely competitive price considering its neighboring hotels. Unfortunately, we were sorely mistaken. We were there in mid-April, shortly after the peak vacation time. The hotel hadn't been updated in years, all the wood was rotting, sagging, or warped. The fountain by the bar/pool area had been drained and wasn't running despite the beautiful picture of it online. The main bar wreaked of garbage. The pool had 4 pool chairs, most of which were broken from "Spring Break." There weren't enough chairs to accommodate the guests. Heaven forbid you bring friends to lounge by the water, all you'd get is a giant, awkward chair to sit in. Lastly, and worst of all, we found Palmetto bug droppings in our beds 2 out of the 5 nights we were there. The culprits were crawling around the hotel proudly. One positive note, is that the staff quickly changed the sheets for us even though Housekeeping had left for the day.

25.00 deposit on check in, 40.00 fee if lost key, 200.00 fee if you smoke in a no smoking room, my room was across the street from the hotel and desk clerk gave lousy directions. But it is right across from the Ft. Lauderdale Beach.

Two stars...ok for a night
The hotel was great about holding our bags and our friends' bags until our room was ready. They called when it was ready. I like their restaurant a lot...cool, relaxing little place with a nice view. The room was ok for one night. The bathtub was all stained, and the water was cold so no showers!
