Did not stay. No elevator & 2nd floor room was dealbreaker. Hotel had no record of my prepaid reservation. Clerk very nice, apologetic & helpful. Was able to get me a room but again, no elevator was a deal breaker so ended up leaving & booking room at Hampton inn in Keokuk. Cobblestone exterior was a big turn off also. Siding in very poor shape

Lobby great place to gather for whatever you like...Outdoor patio, grill, game, gas fire pit area...Rooms clean and beds very comfortable, frige, microwave, flat screen tv, coffemaker, desk and chairs iron/board...AC that worked great...spacious bathrm...Staff accommodating and friendly...mini store for certain items...breakfast had choices...complimentary coffee/tea area, ice water/bakery items...Fitness rm sm choices...guest laundry if needed...no pool/hot tub thou.

We stayed in a room with 2 Queen beds and a pull out sofa. Appreciated this option of extra space and beds. The room was extremely clean and new. Access to the room was great. We came to see historic Nauvoo. It was a bit further of a drive than it appeared (the website said 5.2 miles away, that must be as the crow flies). It was 16 miles by road and 27 minutes, but we loved driving through the area back and forth and especially crossing the Mississipi River over a bridge that turned to let boats through. Our children thought it was exciting!

Book it!
We chose the Cobblestone because we had stayed at a different location and found it pleasant and comfortable. We were greeted with a smile and check-in was a breeze. The room temperature was perfect! The water pressure in the shower was the best I’ve ever experienced in a hotel. We both had an incredible nights sleep on the firm bed. The grounds and common areas were clean and well maintained. We will definitely stay here again if in Fort Madison.

The pm desk clerk was very accommodating. I stayed one night and left and ended up returning for a second night. I ended up staying in the same room. The room was clean—however the trash hadn’t been removed from the previous stay. (I had checked out and it just happened I returned and got the same room). Would I return——yes! Nice place.

Noisy
The doors were heavy metal (fireproof) and so everytime someone closed a door it was like a loud slam. Because there was a one inch gap under our door, the noise from the hallway was very loud - late at night and early morning. Service was excellent, breakfast was nice.

By far the cleanest, nicest place to stay in FM. Staff could always be found cleaning something and it showed! Friendly staff as well. I highly recommend Cobblestone for a stay in FM.

I enjoyed the hotel overall, especially the greeting I received upon entering. I couldn't get on the bed without assistance, and a step stool was provided. The only thing I found disturbing was a used q tip in the bottom of the ice bucket.

Wrong rooms
I booked a king suite with jacuzzi tub, we were staying for a soccer tournament. Upon check-in I entered the room and it had only a king bed. No pull-out couch or jacuzzi tub, like the suite I had booked noted. I went back to the front desk and the lady said there was nothing she could do. I stated that my son, who is playing in this soccer tournament, now had nowhere to sleep since there was not a pull-out couch. She said they assigned me the wrong room and "this happens all the time". She said the manager would not be back in until Monday to speak with. We were at least given a roll-away bed, however it was very uncomfortable and my son had a difficult night's sleep before his tournament. We had hope he could soak in the jacuzzi tub after his 1 set of games, but obviously that did not happen. Other than the above, it was clean and the breakfast was great.
