Great location!Posted Feb 11, 2015
Pros: Rooms have been remodeled and are very nice.
Cons: Offer a complimentary breakfast. I don't recall that being offered but at the time I stayed the dining area was not ready.
Location: Location is great and right by the beach.
I actually stayed at this hotel when it was a Holiday Inn. The hotel is being remodeled so there were some fumes from paint/carpet glue that dissipated eventually. The rooms are very nice and the bed was super comfortable. Rooms have a great view of the beach. Very close to restaurants and within walking distance. I will stay here again for sure.

Nice hotel next to beach.Posted Jan 3, 2015
Pros: The view was great and the rate was good for NY Eve!
Location: Beach, shops, restaurants, amusement park.
Hotel was under construction and new owner but our newly renovated room was very nice with a great view. Friendly and helpful staff.

Great place on the beachPosted Jan 1, 2015
Pros: Location. Nice room.
Location: Right on the beach. Near Galveston Paradise Pier. Close to many restaurants.
Hotel undergoing huge renovation so many of rooms not available. Hallways under construction / redo. BUT a beautiful room! Very comfortable. Great decor. Friendly staff. When renovations complete, this hotel will be really nice. We only stayed one night, but the construction crew did not start making noise until 9:00a.m.....which was considerate.

Very DissappointingPosted Jan 1, 2015
Pros: Clean room, nice shower.
Location: Wrong end of beach. Would NEVER go here again.
Wrong end of the beach. Very few immenities. Ice all the way downstairs, phone did not work and wifi did not work, Under Construction in December 2014.

Great waterfront viewsPosted Dec 28, 2014
Newly renovated rooms are nicely appointed including retro fridge and in room Kuerig. Space in bedroom is a little tight but good for two guests. Bathrooms are nicely updated. Negatives include old room heating and air conditioning units that blow directly on the person(s) sleeping next to it and a very narrow balcony. Once the renovation is complete this will be a top choice for beach front rooms. Hopefully prices will be reasonable.

Great hotel with great service!Posted Dec 16, 2014
We loved our stay. The hotel is undergoing remodel but staff was very friendly and accommodating. Our room was recently remodeled and very clean and comfy. The room was a little humid but we were comfortable. Service was great and we took advantage of the free shuttle to get around town.

Charged us full price??Posted Dec 10, 2014
The hotel is in the perfect spot on the sea wall but, was under renovation and that's fine after all it's the off season, but daaaang to charge 2 people $85 to stay in a place that smelled horrible from stripping out old molded wood, and NO other services? Come on, really??

Stayed one night to get on a cruise ship and staff and driver who brought us to the cruise ship terminal were excellent. Friendly, helpful and just can't say enough good things about them.

Thanksgiving Playcation!Posted Nov 30, 2014
Pros: I chose it because only a few hotels in Galvestion have balconies that directly face and so close to Seawall Blvd. and the ocean.
Cons: Would love to visit again once the remodeling is complete. Will the prices skyrocket?
Location: Great location - just a few blocks down from the Pleasure Pier. It was great to walk out to your won private balcony facing the Seawall and the ocean!
I wish Expedia or the hotel had said the hotel was remodeling to become a Doubletree Hotel, April, 2015. I had paid extra to be on the top floor and the room was new, colorful and WELL appointed, BUT you had to walk through a construction zone to get there. No carpet in the hallways. Construction noise woke me up before 8:00 each of my 5 mornings - even Thanksgiving. The desk staff was most welcoming. They got me ice - retrieved from the kitchen and appoligized about the noise and mess. Breakfast was pricy but delicious in the cafe. My room wasn't cleaned until late afternoon - about the time I was ready to come back and relax.
